Easier food selection like scroll wheel or hotbar

I would love it if i was holding a banana and then scrolled my mouse wheel to change to another fruit.
Or scroll through my bait. Mainly because if i have a few pineapples and i offer one to a friend and he takes it then it auto selects the next different food i have on me... I for some reason keep trying to scroll through my items to get back to pineapple. Yes i know i can tab and pull up my menu but its not as fast.
Just a thought and in no way a big deal. Just a quality of life thing.
