Skeleton Lords should have less HP, and a healthbar.

  • Tall Tales are amazing, the Skeleton Lords fights - not so. The fights are rather repetitive and way too long. After the first two minutes most likely you've seen all the move set , heard all the voice lines and your just slowly slashing through the enormous healthpool. Why does it have to last for 15 minutes?

Here's my crews (Brig/ Galleon) experience with the fights:

Briggsy (Mermaids Hideaway) - we were seriously fighting her for over an hour. We believe she bugged on our first try. It took us 50 minutes of sword slashing and hitting her with a full blunderbuss clip in the face to give up at the first attempt and try to reset the encounter. Than it took another 15 minutes, but we did it.

Graymarrow (Crooked Masts) - nice animation, simmilar fight, but why do we need to fight it for the next 15-20 min?

Gold Hoarder - now this one's a sore. He has so much HP, that our Galleon crew managed to chew through all the fruits in the room and inventory and the only way to heal yourself was to die and respawn. Even worse, if Gold Hoarder dies when someone is on the Ferry of the Damned - instead of being teleported back to the boss room, the person gets ported to the ship and can't see the Tall Tales ending with the Pirate Lord. I honestly hope, that if and crew wipes on this fight, the fruits in the barrels in the room respawn, because I just can't imagine the hell they'd be going through with having to respawn over and over to heal or having to restart the tale.

My suggestion would be to drastically reduce the healthpool of all of the Pirate Lords. If they were meant to be a challenge - they'd need to be so because of the mechanics, not sheer numbers. Also - it would be great to see a healthbar of the bosses.

    Cheers.

  • less health!? i was done with them all with in 2 min. they should be stronger

  • Both of you are wrong.

@NaxMaarDur I am pretty sure you fought being 1 or 2 players. This lords become extremly strong when you are in a 3-4 crew. (Well, you are right, it should be harder against 2 players)

@twobuttonspl No. It is not needed. I am tired of extremly easy games because some people is always crying when the game can't be completed just pressing a button.

  • @guepard4 i was in a 3 man crew so idk

  • @naxmaardur dijo en Skeleton Lords should have less HP, and a healthbar.:

@guepard4 i was in a 3 man crew so idk

Tell me the name of the lord.

  • @guepard4 gold horder but a crew member left the game mid fight so that might be why

  • I think players and skeletons should all have health bar above their head.

  • @naxmaardur I don't know how it adapts. But if you were 2 people in that moment..., that's why.

Anyway you are right in one thing, they must be more difficult when fighting 2 players.

  • @Guepard4

Who's crying? My point was not to make the fight easier. I believe that if it was meant to be hard, it should be hard because of the mechanics, not just by lasting longer. You ever played World of Warcraft bosses? Usually they were considered hard not because of having a lot of health, but because of the fight scenario. Character placement during the fight, aggro juggling, requiring you to do something unorthodox etc.

Just imagine how much better it would be if Briggsy was hard, not because you had to smack her with sword for the next 15 min in a 3-man crew (that's not hard, that's just dull), but if you had for example to dig up all of the skeletons she's spawning so that she wouldn't be spawning them during a channel animation in which she'd be invincible. Or if Gold Hoarder had a debuff that made your feet turn gold, because you weren't moving. Or if Graymarrow would make you dance during the fight if you weren't drunken. That makes the boss harder in a way that is engaging. Not just "let's multiply his HP by 10x" hard.

Also - healthbar would add a lot of clarity to the fight itself and help to solve most of the issues concerning the differences of healthpools between 2-4 man crews.

  • Dude they are meant to be bosses. They aren't meant to be easy. They have the same health as a Meg. Just lure them to the edge of an island, Moore your ship and open fire with canons. Golf hoarder is the Final boss cause you can't use canons on him
