isnt it kinda low how much we get from fishing? or is there a trick to increase the value?

@meranius A Few tips I can give are:
- The more you level up the more good fish you're going to find. (Just like with chests)
- Cook fish before turning them in (As @FaceYourDemon stated)
- Look for Mermaid Gems, they can be turned in at the hunters call and give quite a boost.
@meranius Yes, all cooked food will fetch more than raw food. Just be careful not to burn it!
Also, don't forget that you can fish whilst doing other voyages. So whilst you're off digging up chests, you can catch a few fish on the way. I think the lower reward from selling food is reflected in this.

This is by far the best tip I’ve read. May as well skip fishing until you’ve ranked up via mermaid gems!
@they-sank You're welcome, It's great for leveling but I do have to say that it seems that the progression you get in levels seems to be equal to what it would give with any other trading company, it's really nice at lower levels to boost you to where you get a lot of higher level fish.
Not really a tric to increase value, but a tip to lvl up fast. If you go to a shipwreck, search all the barrels inside. I did that 2 times today and found a huge amount of kraken/megeladon/shark meat, around 8 trophy fish (trophy fishes are also more worth then the standard ones) and more then 20 normal fishes. Some meat or fish is already cooked, sometimes overcooked but sell it anyway. You get nice coin and xp this way. I hope this helps :D happy sailing! 😁
@meranius Most of the Regular Trophy fish sell for a couple hundred, but the fish from the storm sell a lot more from what I hear. On Reddit some one said they sell up to 5,000g

I got incredibly lucky and found a trophy shadow stormfish today. I managed to sell it for 5,600 gold and some great rep! Other than searching in shipwrecks, it’s just patience
