I really enjoy rocking all of my Legendary clothing, equipment, etc., but other than the Royal Sovereign set and Golden Legendary Bluderbuss, no weapons really match the Legendary cosmetics! I think a cutlass with the Athena's Fortune emblem wrist guard would look really cool! And then there's the total lack of Ghost equipment, and I think the Hurdy-Gurdy in Athena's Fortune looks really cool as well!

@gildedthrone219 The simple fact of the matter is, until a large majority of players are Legend; Rare does not care about adding Content for us. In their eyes since we are "A small part of the community" we don't matter.
The only Legend Content confirmed for the new Anniversary Update is Hunter's Call Commendations. I'm going to assume that we're also going to get Arena Commendations. That's it. All this new stuff added to give casuals "more options to achieve Legend" yet Legends get a few more Commendations.
I don't know why Rare keeps adding Content for people in order to encourage them to achieve Legend. They don't care about their Legends, so if they successfully get players to get Legend, then what? I don't understand what the game plan is.
Let's say everyone who has ever played SoT loves the anniversary update so much; everyone plays the game non-stop and achieves Legend. Now what? Players are going to go from having 5 different ways to achieve Legend to 1 faction that you have to do or you can't progress. All of your choices given to you beforehand are now gone. You have no choice. Do Athena's or don't progress. So unless Rare has a massive Pirate Legend update coming directly after this update; I don't understand what they are trying to achieve. There's no point in getting people to play your game if your endgame is non-existent.

any more it is becoming increasingly common to meet people that are athena lvl 6 or 7 and havent even made legend yet!
@tehstepford Yep, unlike Original Legends; a lot of people already are high level Athena’s; they don’t have to sink as manu hours as we did to reach Legend. I know a lot of people who are 8 or 9 and not Legend yet.
Which brings me to another point. Can you please lock the Athena gear behind Legendcy? I’m so tired of seeing people almost fully decked out in Athena gear yet they aren’t Legend. The OG Legend outfit is more Rare than the Athena outfie because of this. Just lock it already, just like the ships.
@bugaboo-bill Because I’m not a fan of “making your own fun”. I bought the game for it to be my fun. Not for the game to tell me, “Welp, here you go!”. This is why I’m not a fan of minecraft or other games like that. I should have goals that I can achieve in the game. I shouldn’t be on an over a year drought.
Thankfully Arena and Hunter’s Call will fix that but it’s sad that it’s not Legend exclusive.
@ninja-naranja We all do. A lot of the “Legend Content” people are asking for is stuff that’s just long overdue. And there’s no excuse for it.
Basically half of the Athena set is non-existent; and Rare is JUST finishing off the Legend set. It’s been a year. It doesn’t take a year to make a set of equipment and weapons. They just don’t care. And until more than 30% is being shown on the xbox achievement app; they never will. Currently sitting at 1%. Which we all know is wrong. You can’t go into a server without seeing a Legend.
@zaannox If they didn't care they wouldn't bother adding anything at all. It's just not what they've been focused on at the moment. Remember some of them ARE Pirate Legends.

No power gaps, no exclusives etc...Well SoT is some sort of Sandbox game.

And a lot of the time, what they “add” are things that should’ve been in the game at launch and they just got around to doing it. Example:
The first items added to PL, was the dresses and the ship. Because yes, apparently Rare forgot women existed and then proceeed to remember that Legends don’t have a ship.
The Athena ship was then added. I believe a few months later. Somewhere around cursed sails. Again, should’ve been in the game since launch.
Then Athena Commendations were added, along with some PL Equipment. Like, some?! How are you going to add bits and pieces to a set? Note, Legends are the only ones who get sets in bits and pieces; I have yet to see casuals get anything like how Legends get it.
There are only 3 items in the game that I personally perceive as Rare, “adding” to us out of actually caring that we exist and that’s the Legendary Wheel, Capstan, and cannons. But even then, where’s the Athena Version? Their probably holding it off till some event so they can tie it to those Commendations; that’s my guess.
Anyway, point I’m trying to make is, everything except for 3 items are things they owe us. They still owe us a lot. I’m still waiting for my sets to be finished. After a year I don’t see that changing. Hopefully the next update addreesses this issue; but realistically, they don’t give a damn about us. They only even just started adding Legend content because some Rare employees are finally reaching Legend, and they are staring to see how bad they’ve been neglecting us.
