As the title says is there an effective way to level up fast solo? Cant stand the toxic players in this game, teammates are either doing nothing, hiding/throwing away treasure or just straight up blowing our own ship up, just completed a skull fort with a random teammate and 2 other randoms joined one did absolutely nothing apart from afk spin in the captains quarters and the other was just running around until we had fully completed the fort then that guy running around took the stronghold barrel and blew the ship up then they both left....
Best way to earn money/rep solo?
Play solo as you like to play and let the money and rep come by the way.
Join a crew with trustworthy members and likeminded people.
The fastest and efficient way is maybe not the best way.
Devils Roar gives more gold and rep.
Golden chicken were once the way to go to farm Merchants reputation.
Just leave nothing, every cheap chest is worth something and is part of the game you play and hopefully dont work off only.
You can go for efficency and miss to play the game while working it off.
There is nothing you need gamemechanically, nothing what lets have you any disadvantage.
Do all and everything you like.
1st if you like it it's nit grind and you wont exhaust.
2nd if you play the game you appreciate every success and your way becomes your special story, has value to you.
If you "exploit" or just work it off efficently you will be PLA10 one day and wont remember special things, but you beated the grind and worked it off.Have fun sailing.
Solo can be fun, i like to solo some days too, but i seriously recommend you a crew of maybe 5-10 Persons to find players you can have fun with.
Sometimes nobody plays, sometimes you are 5 or 7 and not all can play together, but you then have allways options to play together.
Less time consuming, more fun, better for PvP.@tomboi123 Solo play will be the slowest way to level up. I’d recommend doing LFG and/or joining the official discord. Get to know some folks in the community. Open crews will always be hit or miss.
There is no real end to the game, so trying to level up fast means you miss out on the one true form of progression in the game - player skill. Try, fail, learn, repeat. This is especially true of solo play. It is hardcore mode.
@tomboi123
Hello Tomboi123, i'm not going to add to how you can make more money and experience because that has already been done splendidly by the Pirates who wrote above me , but something else just stings in my mind...
Your story , sadly , often happens a lot , in the Sea but can i ask a question please...You have the afk " spinner" , who obviously didn't say a word...You have the other Pirate that decided to blow up the ship but....Was this a talkative Pirate? Did he or she spoke to you or other Pirates? If i come across a band of random crewmates and nobody is talking nor willing to talk after a while then i walk away...Hold on before i get verbally slapped for this , i mean that if there is totally no conversation ,not even by keyboard or non verbal chat , then after a while if i have tried my utmost best to make people talk again , i simply leave...a deadsilent Pirate is someone you never can get to learn to know , nor can you ever trust their judgement nor loyalty...The fact that you play only Solo now , means that they have " upset " you more than once and you have given up on them...And i'm sorry but ...i find this the wrong judgement...There are many Great Pirates to be found, sure , sometimes the beginning of the journey may go a bit stumbling as distrust in creeping like a cancer in many crews but after a while , if people talk or write , this should get better and a well oiled crew may be forged...Solo Slooping isn't bad but it is very hard sometimes , and i'm not talking about the difficulty you have to beat completely by yourself , running around a ship like a Tasmanian Devil to shoot , repair ,bail and steer all by yourself but ...in the end ...you just miss Pirates around you ....All those Great Movies show the bound of Pirates who only had their crew, nobody else wanted or waited for them , and that bound is something i really can't miss...
So before you become " bored" or have enough of Solo Slooping because it is hard to play and overcome all kinds of dangers this world throws at you on yer own to make a living, please reconsider the fact that you abandoned "crews"...Jump back to randoms , give it a few minutes talk to them and when nothing comes back , try again untill you find a cooperating crew...Or....Make a Looking For Group post on the Official Sea of Thieves Xbox group, that's one of the biggest and i had a lot of succes in finding people that answer to the criteria i put down there ....Not that i have such high criteria... Humor ,communication and cooperation are the only things i ask for , for the rest is everybody welcome ...Young ,old , male , female or the different combinations on that, i don't care ...As long if we talk ,work together and have a joke or two , that will make my day if my regular crew can't play but going completely Solo for the rest of my Pirating days would make me miss out on so much fun that i would probably become a landlubber and play something different...
Be careful...Don't focus completely on a " single player" experience because the danger that you throw away your controller one day is bigger on yer own than i a well forged band of Mischivious Scallywaggains....
@tomboi123 for solo, as long as you learn how to beat each; Kraken/ skelly ship / and Meg hunting. With a new update coming out that may change though.
Happy sailing!Solo by itself it really inefficent, I would still recommend crewing up. Trying using tools to weed out players. The Xbox LFG has crews with set goals as well as having like minded people. You can also join the Official Sea of Thieves Discord to find people, or just one of the hundreds of player made groups.
If you can get into one, find one of those Alliance servers. Some players have locked down a server were they are in control. Everyone is in an Alliance, and all have the same goal in mind. How you get into these servers? I have no clue nor do I care to find them. For me it defeats the fun of the game by removing the unknown player aspect. If you can't find this server just Alliance up can speed up things, however be prepared to find people who have are unwilling to join an Alliance and will just sink you.
I would say avoid forts if you are slow at clearing them solo. Mainly due to some can be contested, and unless you are a good player it will just be stolen under you. The faster you can clear them the better.
With all these suggestions, I'd reccomend none of them. If your goal is just to get PL or A10, your just gonna burn out. When you turn a game into a grind, it becomes a chore and no longer a game. Just play the game in a form that is fun. I predominently stole loot for PL, that to me was fun. I keep doing it to this day, and I've been playing since day one. Some enjoy stealing Athena chests, with some reaching 50 plus stolen chests. To each their own, but don't worry about the grind. Simply just play the game.
