St. Elmo's Fire

  • St. Elmo's Fire
St. Elmo’s Fire aka St. Elmo’s Light is a weather phenomenon in which luminous plasma is created by a coronal discharge from a sharp or pointed object in a strong electric field in the atmosphere (such as those generated by thunderstorms or created by a volcanic eruption).
Sailors used to see St. Elmo's Fire either before or after a heavy electrical storm. The Fire was Described to be a blue sparking light that would jump around the sails or appear to be shooting out of the mastheads and rapping around them. Some sailors believed the sparks where the heavens protecting their ship.

St. Elmo's Fire incorporated In Sea of Thieves
The St. Elmo’s fire would appear before during and after a Heavy storm as away to warn sailors what natural disasters are ahead in their journey. It would also be used as a way to kind of get an Idea of where other ships might be during of after a heavy storm. The coolest part about adding St. Elmos fire is that it isn't even pirate lore anymore it's an actual naturally occurring phenomenon. It would just be a small thing to add a little more detail to the life of sailing.

I've made the same request almost a year ago. It would be awesome to have a new type of storm that doesn't roam, but forms slowly and takes up a good portion of the map.

The saints elmo's fire would just be really really awesome to see to witness.
