I want to play solo for a little while. "Closed Crew" has a padlock icon on it. If I play "Open Crew" people keep joining my ship. Most people have been nice, but if I want to be a one-man crew, how do I do that? (Obviously I'm new to Xbox and online gaming). I don't have any "friends," nd was wondering if that might be the reason Closed Crew is locked. Thanks
Why is "Closed Crew" locked?

That locked icon is just for the 'closed crew', it's not locked for you.
@lonegoatknifer dude, he said he's new and didn't really know what he was doing. No need to be a jerk.
@gomapowr It's like these others have said. You can use it, it's just showing that your crew is locked from others joining.
Also, if you ever want someone to sail with I've been sailing since before launch and enjoy showing the seas to new players. If you're only interested in sailing solo I respect that too, pirate! Just make sure to keep a weathered eye on the horizon.
@geobiwan Yeah...that's me being a jerk alright.
I think it was a pretty reasonable question considering the situation. This was his first post on the forum. That means he felt it was easier to go sign up (he would already have the Microsoft account to get on here but, I doubt he knew that's what would be needed) on a new forum to ask a question that could easily be solved by just trying to click on the button. Sure, there is a lock on the button but, there is nothing stopping you from clicking it.
I was kind of hoping for an answer as to why that was the preferred way to solve the problem.

he came to the forums, a place where the community looks out for each other and helps each other. and he had a question. The community answered it. Now he knows he can always come here for help.
@geobiwan Spot on.
100% we are a community here for each other and to support each other, please remember to be respectful of each other. What may be obvious to you isn't always obvious to someone else.
As some of our super helpful community members have answered this one I am going to drop anchor!
Much love.
