please add cannon sensitivity -- the drag on it it's so slow on pc. I'd max it out for better flick cannon shots..
wasd helps a bit but it's nowhere near as fast as it could be
@rodlimitless I agree. I was excited to see that they had different sensitivity settings for all the weapons. It makes sense to have it for the cannons also.
Great suggestion.
I would be fine if they left it where it is. Your aim is limited on a cannon. You don't have full 360 rotation to work with. With the small field of vision you have on a cannon, it doesn't take that long to go from one extream to the other. Think about how hard it would be to turn a cannon in real life though. Your weapons are one thing but cannons are very heavy. Yes this is a game, no it doesn't have to abide by real world physics, but being able to turn and aim a cannon like it was a pistol doesn't seem logical at all. Im not against the idea of upping the turn speed or even giving us sensitivity options, but I would be ok if it's untouched.
@rodlimitless cannons are not intended to be 'quick' or for 'flicking'.
As it is they are the same speed for everyone.

it does actually dawg. It takes way too long. Maybe some players like it the way it is, slow, cause they're not using to flickshotting etc, and dont get me wrong, I personally am a great cannonner, like i land 95%+ of all my shots, heck when I shoot myself over to wipe a full crew I land ON the ship a lot of times - but it takes too long. If it were faster, you could see the skill cap increase tremendously. Right now it's slightly visible, I mean good players sometimes may miss a shot or two when in the middle of the storm, with waves hitting you. But if it were faster, you could 100% how bad some ppl really are and how accurate others are.

so, let them change it then.
@rodlimitless This seems like it's something that could be tested. Maybe the insider can have an arena build that has increased movement for cannons and we can see what kind of changes it has on combat and flow. This is just one of the many factors that dictate how battles play out. The damage and knockback, the flight time and angle, even other things like the speed at which you climb a ladder. All of it balances to help make combat fun and work well. Me saying they turn fast enough and you saying they don't is just opinion and preference. I do think they are slow and I do feel impatient when aiming one but I understand it for what it is and accept it. Doesn't mean I'm right, just that it's not a mechanic that bothers me.
@rodlimitless Nah. Doesn’t need changing. They are cannons. The slowness gives them some weight and makes landing shots all the more skillful. Quick flick shots with a cannon would simply be absurd in this game. Might make braggarts feel good, but aim is aim, at the end of the day.
Cannons should be slow otherwise ship battles would look like star destroyers shooting their turrets which really didn’t work in their favor.
Id like to say if your making your shots why do you want them to “flick” shot? You trying to 360 no scope a cannon? Your a pirate on a wooden ship.
This is not a game that uses “flick” shot mechanics. Plenty of other games have that style of play. Now if you’ve built muscle memory from other games that you utilize “flick” shooting great. However not all games with projectile firing weapons need to have the same mechanics.
@rodlimitless I can’t believe you’re getting so many people disagreeing with you wanting a higher sensitivity. Whatever, I support you bro. Would love to be able to make the cannons aim faster cause it’s sooooooo slow.
