Xbox One X Performance mode ( 60fps )

  • The Coallition for Gears of War 4 and Playgrounds Games with Forza Horizon 4 are the only two 1st party developpers to offer the choice of a performance mode making the game running at a smoothly 60fps on Xbox One X.

I wish RARE also will offer this choice on Xbox One X for Sea of Thieves. Lowering the resolution to 1080p or even 900p , I' m sure that the Xbox One X can run the game at 60fps. It's a question of choice and its the role of a big 1st party like RARE to offer it. Choice is also POWER.

  • I completely agree.

I absolutely adore this game. It can be hugely tense and exciting or wonderfully relaxing depending on how you play. There's nothing I like more then sitting back on my sofa at the end of the day in front of my TV and playing a couple of hours.

Trouble is, I'm increasingly drawn to play on my laptop where I can hit higher frame rates - the game just feels better played this way! Dining room table and uncomfortable chair gaming sessions are deffinately less enjoyable but I feel I have to put up with them to get the optimum gameplay experience.

I'm sure the One X is capable. Fingers crossed this is on Rare's raider.

  • Have to agree with you on this one. I bought keyboard and mouse for Xbox for a 'pc experience' as I prefer the mouse and keyboard controls but the presumably 30fps on xbox one x doesn't 'feel' right compared to my sub par laptop that's able to achieve a steady 60fps at 1080p. Please rare give us the option to run 1080p 60fps on xbox one x.

  • @lamccall1983 @mr4ed Why not plug the PC into the TV?

Because we have an Xbox one x. Although I agree with you that it can be solved this way. It's not as simple as just turning on your Xbox. I don't think it would be hard for rare to implement the option so we can just use our Xbox. Though I must admit I have no idea of the technicalities.

Just would be a nice quality of life update.
