Rowboat bug - can’t use oars

    I’m submitting a ticket for this but I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

    I had a rowboat docked to my sloop but when I went to use it I couldn’t use the oars or sit in some positions, I could only re-dock it. By sailing away from it, the rowboat still couldn’t be used.

    I jumped off to an island to interact with a barrel and a couple of Skeletons who were upset with life, and came back to the rowboat with the same issue.

    I tried changing my graphics detail as that used to fix the Issue of not being able to interact with some things but nothing changed.

    I had to procure a new rowboat instead.

    It’s not the first time this has happened in the last week. There was a rowboat on the sand and the “Push rowboat” option showed but was greyed out. Getting into it didn’t have the “Use oars” option either.

    This is on the Windows 10 version and has only been happening since the last update as far as I can tell.

    Aye, happened to me a couple of times the last few days. It is quite annoying.
    Raise those support tickets, lads!

    @yourenowontv Yeah, it's annoying. You can fix it, though. Dying. As a workaround, your crew must all die and be on the Ferry at the same time. When you come back, the rowboat will be fixed.

    That's not ideal 😆

    Hopefully this bug will be fixed ASAP. It's making me wary of relying on a Rowboat for Lifeboat purposes, or Freight runs with Cloth (Stupid cloth why can't we dry it out?) 😉

    In my experience this bug only occurs after a serve merge.

    And it's not the entire crew that needs to die, it's just the guy that needs to use it (i.e. yes the entire crew needs to die if they want to be able to use the rowboat).

    Could of course be two separate issues, please correct me if that's the case, then it's multiple bugs!

    Yep it is just one of dozens of bugs and glitches that interfere and interrupt gameplay and fun every session. Going months between updates where they are not fixed mean they just stay around as known content.

    May i ask a question? Does this happen after a servermerge or is this from the moment you start the game? If it happens after a server merge than mostly dying and reincarnating does the trick ,if it's all the time then you better make a Support ticket...

    @clumsy-george I cannot say for sure. I don’t recall it happening specifically after a server merge in the few instances it happened to me. Either way, it should be reported as a bug.

    Certainly Sir , don't worry to report it , i was just a bit worried after i read that you altered your whole PC settings, i'm a PC noob myself ( * No, you , George , are just dumb, nomatter what device you hold into thy hands...moron) and i always fear that if i change too much , and mostly mess it up too, that i will never be able to find the old settings back where my game at least run decent...And dying doesn't take much effort …( * And now he writes heartless comments as well...) i mean in the game , not in real life...

    This happens before a server merge.

    Server merges in Australia are relatively rare.

    It has nothing to do with a server merge in my experience. This happens to me all the time and has for quite some time. Just happened to me yesterday after beating the ship cloud event. There was no server merge involved. Hopefully they can fix this bug (and many others) sooner than later. Ever since they compressed the game size down, bugs are rampant in this game.
