I feel it would be better if the scale went off of how many players are on a ship instead of the size of ship. I used to solo on a brig mainly but now you can not do that with the megs being so much more aggressive and causing more damage if I am in a brig rather than a sloop. I like to do solo brig because it is faster so I can get to each part of my voyage quicker than on a sloop. Running a brig solo takes a bit more skill than a sloop of course but it really isn't that difficult. Now this is just my opinion and I am suggesting this in the "feedback & suggestions" forum so I am not saying this is the way the game has to be, just that to me it seems it would make more sense.
Scaling the megalodons and other AI should scale to amount of players not ship size IMO.
What if another ship / crew engages. When ever I was on a Galleon, would I join a sloop fighting the Kraken, because I know this one is more easy then the one who will chase me? Or will the Kraken recognize this as reinforcement and scale up, unluckily smashing the sloop first?
I don't know how this should work at all in a fair manner. But isn't there already a kind of scaling?
@goedecke-michel I am just speaking only about the AI aspect not other ships and players and the kraken is easy to get away from in a sloop but solo on a brig is very very difficult. I do not know if they scale up if another ship joins in against them but from what I have noticed it doesn't seem like it. I have noticed though that if there are multiple galleon crews on the same island the skellies spawn a lot more than if only one crew is which makes sense to me.
