A few things I noticed

  • Certain figureheads have wood behind them that doesn't match the rest of the ship unless you use the default hull (most noticeable on the huntress and shark figureheads).

The default wheel, cannons, capstan, and masts will often change color to match certain hulls, but if your ship sinks, they will swap back to the default color.

If you find a chest of sorrows, you can place it on a fresh rowboat found at an island, then attach the rowboat to your ship, and the crying will not flood your boat.

  • You do not need a fresh rowboat. Just detach it before placing a chest of sorrows in it. Always log these chests on any detached rowboat. Once attached the chest will not shed a single tear in your ship.

I would like a color theme to blend the n all the ship customizations also. Hard to find a figurehead to match all the other customizations now. I do especially if you mix and match. Hope rowboats can started matching our color scheme as well very soon. Would like them to be coordinated.

I figured this might be the case, but the scenario I described was what I experienced, and without further testing I didn't want to post about something that might not have been true, so I erred on the side of caution.

  • All good mate and completely understandable. Was adding to your observations. Let’s hope it stays this way as it make sense.

  • @galactic-geek I can also confirm that undocking the rowboat and putting the chest of sorrows into it before redocking will prevent the tears from flooding the ship.

  • @galactic-geek I know why they wouldn't but it might be nice to see some detail in the rowboat, not a figurehead of course, just a small picture painted on randomly.

Perhaps a mermaid or a skull, just some variants to the many identical rowboats about.
