Why can't you buy those Forsaken shores dlc lava looking guns?

@xevzfin ahoy matey! Those were limited-time items only available during the Forsaken Shores event if I recall correctly. Sorry, I think you might be out of luck!

@vorondil1 is correct. These were time limited to the Forsaken Shores event.

Unfortunately, I did not have enough gold during this time period to get the Ashen shipwright cosmetics and I really wanted them, as orange is my favorite color.

@starquest Sorry, it seems like ages ago when Forsaken Shores came out. You may be right, it could have been doubloons.

If ya ask me, making half of a set time limited and the other half not is kind of a cruel tease.

@sgt-palooggoo so true. It's like, on the one hand you want to take what you can get, but on the other hand using it will just always make you regret not having the full set.

@XevzFin I hear you, man...but the time wasn't wasted! You got your doubloons, and some lovely titles, and a fun experience in the process!

Hopefully they rereleased them. This "limited time" practice is one of many that turn me away from some games. Why make something like this limited time? Events are one thing but cosmetics? It's just irritating

I have mixed feelings on this one, and it boils down to whether it is considered a world changing event or not. Sea of thieves has a moving timeline, as in certain events alter the state of the game and are part of history like the Hungering Deep and the Cursed Sails.

Hungering Deep: This featured the return of the Hungering One to the Sea of thieves, and had crews band together to drive it back to the depths. In the process, the way was owned for the smaller Megs which remained in the world.

Cursed Sails: Wanda discovered a Cursed Cannon ana created the Cursed Cannonballs to strike a profit, but was corrupted by their power. With this, she aligned with other skeleton captains and led a war against the living in the Sea of Thieves. Once again, pirates banded together to drive them back, but they can be seen wandering around gathering strength and occasionally rising in small fleets.

For me, those two events and the items tied to them were a once in a lifetime event . They are part of the lore and wont be rotated.

Now the Forsaken Shores isn't really works changing for the games timeline. During the event you discovered islands and the fate of Captain Morrows cre along with other various tasks to unlock the weapons and hull, all of which are repeatable tasks still. With this regard, I'd say everyone should be able to get the items for the same number of doubloons as when released.

This also applies to Bilge Rat Adventures.. None are world changing and the events could easily come back whenever Duke wants.

As others have replied before, the Forsaken Shores Weapons were time limited and only available during the Forsaken Shores event which can purchased with Doubloons through Duke.
As of now, you can no longer get the weapons.
I missed out the event for this as I bought the game in early 2019.

The rewards should remain time limited. There are enough other cosmetics to chose from. Cosmetics are the trophies for those events they show the bs you went through to earn them or buy them.

And with all the events when they have added cosmetics they have always given you enough earnable doubloons to buy them all. If you didnt have enough it means you spent them on something else.
