If 2X rewards is going to become an event we'll see more of, or even not, it should consider the weekend warriors that can't grind it over the weekend. I work 12 hour days usually on my weekends and don't have much time for play. I suggest maybe 2X weeks or treat it like the gilded quest and have Duke sell a limited purchase 2X day for players who can only commit so often.

I don't know if this will become a recurrent event, I was more under the impression it was a special occasion to give a bit of help to people that wanted to reach pirate legend before the 20th and were short on time.
Yeah its a shame to miss this my weekend starts on monday this week.. if i got weekend now i could do a nice golden chickenrun ^^ but i dont need the rewards or gold but still its nice to cash in crazy for fun :D
Double loot days actually sounds like more fun then double gold and xp! Get 2 skulls and dig up 2 chest and completely fill the galleon with shiny loot O.o

Yea I assume its to help hit legend and sort of a 1st year celebration. But either way a lot of people can't participate because their "weekend" doesn't fall on the weekend. I'd prefer it to not be a common event. But at the same time I'd also like to be able to have a chance to hit it hard and and stack up my gold.

What skill set is that? it’s exactly the same fella, just quicker.
There is a Buddhist term, Mudita, which means sympathetic or unselfish joy.
Joy in the good fortune of others.The opposite of Mudita is envy and jealousy.
I feel this game needs to have what MMOs and live service loot games do. Have daily and weekly events. Like the Mercenary voyages a flag shows your location and it gives a specific treasure that you only get doing the event voyage.
Make the voyage free and you can attempt it as many times until you complete it. Turning in the treasure is what completes the voyage. This could give large amounts of gold for doing the daily. Completing the weekly could give gold and randomly unlock a cosmetic even ones that were limited bilge rat items. This can only be done once for each account.
For those that have completed the daily if they steal the treasure and turn it in they get even more gold for it. For stealing the weekly they could receive a skull fort key that’s cursed and it’s location is shown on all map tables. The players who lost their weekly treasure can return for blood!
@tohav-duudhe I forgot to write that this event could be transformed into this kind of implementation so that way you could participate at some point in the week and each day you get a chance if your schedule permits.
