A question for the Shopkeeper, about SOT art

  • i have totally no clue ( * like always , moron) in wich category i should place this post. i also feel a bit uncertain, these days , to write something down here , certainly if it can be seen as something very egocentric… To those with the Power to replace Topics , feel free to put it on the right spot ( * i suggest ...the bin, the best place for all your written rubbish , weirdo - Oh , and what are we happy today ,hey Sunshine ? * You betcha).

i will try to explain my question, please read question and not demand ( * Oh, sorry i almost read dement, hehehehe). i'm a big fan of SOT , no doubt about that , i love the Passion, The Freedom in the game , the fact that this is my first and only game in wich i can improvise and have succeeded to make a few pirates laugh , this game and it's memories are etched in my Heart and glorified with Golden ink. i also love the music that takes you away from the daily slumber real life has become. i could ask again to put all the songs on cd but i won't since i know that Musical Mastermind , Mr Beanland and his team , are far from done with composing… But ...i do love the art as well, many beautiful scenes have been drawn or created with the Unreal 4 engine. Some are depicted in the Art book , wich is hopefully still available for curious New Pirates , but i also like the paintings that Rare sells on the Store page.
But … the assortiment doesn't grow anymore … You know , with every update , a strange feeling of "missing " crawls over my spine ( * Missing you say , George , blimey , what do you miss then ?...oops dumb question , braincells of course , dumbo), those beautiful loadingscreens that are made by the Talented Graphical Team led by Mr Stevenson and Mr Robbles dissappear and are replaced by new beautiful ones ,every update , but the "old " screens , wich are mostly not even a month old, evaporates in our minds and memories for ever lost it seems…
Now , dear Shopkeeper or Shopkeeperess, i do love the "paintings" that you sell, i have four of time , all Epic ones that depict great scenes of Sea of Thieves and everytime i dust them off , my mind get sucked in the scene depicted and brings a smile to my face because i memorise a previous adventure that brings more than one smile on my ( * ugly) face...

i'm not demanding anything , but since you are going to let SOT grow, wich means one day you are going to introduce buyable pets to support that development ,would it be possible to print and sell some of those great loadingscreens from the past...
Oh , yes, i do hear you say ( * like they would talk to something like you , freak) :" Dear ( * Phaaahahahaaa , now you're really dreaming ,fool) George , we simply can't print 995 copies of each loadingscreen ,because our storeroom is simply to small, and we still have a lot left of the older ones that don't get sold..", but i ain't asking to print another small thousend of each loadingscreen...What if you could print like 200 or maybe ,print on demand or something , you wouldn't be left with heaps of prints and i would love to buy the Epic ones…
And maybe i'm not the only one ( * You are certaintly , the only moron on this Forum , don't doubt that , yokel) who would love to decorate his/ her favorite gameroom with SOT Art...

i know that this is more a question that should be asked in a support ticket ,since the Shopkeeper probably don't read the forums , but i feel that support Tickets belong to the players who have found glitches / bugs , or report trollic behaviour or have problems since their PC doesn't want to start up their game , those are more important than my question...

i hope that a Moderator can maybe put the question in the right channel , if this get's read … i find those loadingscreens and other Epic sketches too beautiful to evaporate in time. And since everybody is free to buy or leave it , it hasn't a obligationary coercion, to anyone and can bring some extra funding for future updates or maintaining of the game...

  • @clumsy-george It may not be the same George, but if there are any memorable ones you like you could always screen shot them.

And after you have done that I’m sure there will be a way you could upload them to one drive or save them on a USB or phone and then get them printed of yourself.

You could archive them all? :)

  • @knifelife
That is true , but … maybe i'm a bit nostalgic and old ( * Maybe ? hahaha, old fool , you still evade that mirror ,hey?) but i feel that i don't want to simply copy them , i love the ones i got since they radiate " something" , don't ask me what ( * Believe me , moron, nobody dares to ask you or you tell another toecurling and boring story nobody wants to hear...i'm still wondering why nobody has taken you down for that , old nag) but i rather contribute something than just copy ...Yes , i do am daft and old fashioned and dumb and whatever , but i do want to support the game and walk away with something beautiful without feeling a bit " guilty" if you know what i mean, Mr Knifelife...

  • @clumsy-george Excellent idea matey. Some kind of online library where you can pick up some of the vintage or even current images used over the life of the game. And you are right, while the new slides are great, those vintage ones were amazing and somehow seemed more wrapped in mystery than the ones we have today.

I would add that I wish they sold the game map, on some form of vintage paper or cloth, that we could frame ourselves. I know we can print our own, but that just doesn't seem the same as something that is professionally done in a way to make it feel more vintage and look more like it is antiquated (if that is the word to describe what I mean, lol).

Thank The Sea Gods , you picked up your writing hammer and exactly nailed down what i tried to say , thank you , Sir....That's what i mean, nomatter how expensive one's printer may be , the quality Rare has send to me cannot be achieved with "homedevices"...
