An Unstuck Button

  • Ahoy there,

Getting stuck (as a pirate) between rocks and in holes is one of the easiest to notice issues in-game at this time. Rare has being doing a good job fixing these pitfalls when reported, but if you are stuck in one yourself there is no way to salvage your current voyage. So, an "I'm stuck!" button in the crew menu is something I'd adore!

An immediate option for pirates to get "unstuck" has been discussed to some degree, but exploitation must be avoided. I'd like to recommend two safeguards for an unstuck button:

    1. The game must run some tests to figure-out whether the player is actually unable to escape.

    2. There should be a cooldown so that these tests mustn't be ran more than necessary.

Hopefully you folks catch my drift, if you disagree I'd encourage you to voice your opinions below. If you'd like to read some previous discussion on this topic, there is a closed thread here: https://www.seaofthieves.com/forum/topic/39976/feedback-unstuck-needed-getting-stuck-in-between-rocks-as-a-solo-player-is-a-forced-game-restart/21

Yes this is an occasional problem, a bit more of a pain if you are sailing solo too.

There was a very recent thread on this, you may wish to look at

My thoughts were from this post....

I personally would like an option... maybe termed... "Visit the ferry of the Damned".
It would need to be carefully implemented as it could be a mechanic subject to abuse, if you find yourself in a standard but tricky situation ie. PvP "a visit to the ferry" might actually benefit you.

This would accomplish the "Unstuck" mechanic, there would be a time penalty since you are visiting the ferry ( this shouldn't be a problem as the alternative is remain stuck )
