I'm just waiting for all these bad xbox players responsible for this option for crossplay, to come back saying the xbox players are cheating on xbox only servers. Should be a grand old time. Blaming a console for skill lvl. To funny.

Don't be silly everytime a xbox player loses to a pc player its obviously because of "advantage" and hacking and never skill or getting outplayed.

I wouldn't say that just yet they are getting really negative responses from this the youtube video announcement of it is over half dislikes all the top comments are also negative over half the community is against it if we go by the youtube numbers its just a small vocal minority that wants this

I actually play twitch shooter games. on xbox and pc. You are assuming i'm talking trash about xbox players. I'm not.
I'm saying splitting crossplay is absolutely not necessary.

I'm just as good on xbox and pc. So again i say i don't notice any "advantage" i notice a skill difference. in fact when i first started pc gaming last year when SoT launched i was better on the controller. i was missclicking buttons on my keyboard and my aim sensitivity wasn't dialed in yet. Its skill. Like really. As an xbox player converted to pc. I honestly don't see the "advantages" in this game.

If that's the case then only the minority will use the option and the people complaining are way overreacting.

I wouldn't say that just yet they are getting really negative responses from this the youtube video announcement of it is over half dislikes all the top comments are also negative over half the community is against it if we go by the youtube numbers its just a small vocal minority that wants this

If that's the case then only the minority will use the option and the people complaining are way overreacting.

OP asked a factual question. Factual question was answered. 90% of this thread belongs in the mega-thread (or preferably not written at all). Can someone (or everyone) step up, be the better person, and just stop responding here until this thread inevitably gets locked? Not having the last word doesn't mean you're wrong. Just let it go. 35% players are pc
65% players are xbox

xbox/pc crossplay servers pop %100 right now.

Lets say 25% of people opt out of crossplay servers them being only xbox players.
You would then have 48% xbox players on crossplay servers.
Lets say 50%
you now have %32 xbox players in crossplay servers.

lets say 75%
You then have 16% xbox players in crossplay servers.

Now i don't think that 75% of people will opt out. But the more people that opt out. the more game modes there are. the harder it will be to find a good server. Less people total. making the game even more dead during non peak hours. It will indeed hurt the game. I don't know why its hard to see this. The merge system is already not good. However. Goodluck rare. you will need it. I want to see you succeed. But splitting the community this way was not the option. Search preferences for open crew. (as i been saying since launch)

It’ll probably be March 20th when the mega update comes out but not fully positive that’s what I’m thinking though would make sense

You have given nothing towards a conversation about why a kb/mouse has the advantages over controller in this game. You and a few others just insist on attacking me and saying i'm "crying" lol. I own both pc and xbox and don't feel SoT has any advantage over a controller. I really do think it comes down to skill even when aiming. I had a learning curve with my aiming on pc fiddling w/ what works best for me. As would anyone else have that same learning curve with aiming on a controller.

I wont sit here and compare SoT to fornite. Fortnite has building during pvp incomparable.

Sure a person who is new to gaming (I'm seriously imagining my mom trying to walk and looking up to the sky and stuff) then yes you're right pc gaming would be easier to start on. But this isn't an advantage.

Having the knowledge of how the controller works and can walk fluently and can keep a person on target. to me this is skill based and not console based.. Sorry for my opinion based on my own gameplay. :/

3 programmable keys for any xbox controller.
With an elite controller you can avoid some of the pulling off the joystick on xbox by programing like "a" for jump and "y" for switch guns on your elite controller paddles.. (I also have a cheap $30 controller from gamestop that has 2 programmable buttons on it that work perfectly the same w/o the notorious stick drift of the elite controller)
This is the Real issue still lol.
I would like the elite controllers paddles to be individually able to map to their own paddle so i could have 4 extra mappable buttons along side the other 3 on the controller. (because right now you cant)

I'm just waiting for all these bad xbox players responsible for this option for crossplay, to come back saying the xbox players are cheating on xbox only servers. Should be a grand old time. Blaming a console for skill lvl. To funny.

EDIT: I'm a Plat/Diamond on xbox Rainbowsix seige. Yet some of the players i see on xbox. Are even better then the Plat/Diamonds i know on pc. Its all about skill. Honestly

Only a all percentage of players have even visited the forums/YouTube. Did you watch Xbox insider?

It's a sample size that represents the whole community and your not seeing the point that over half of the people that decided to like/dislike, disliked it. Why do something over half the community dislikes? Seems like a losing hand for them and they did say they are still monitoring feedback on crossplay I think fourms and youtube speak for itself no xbox player can give any proof of this advantage or a reason why (thats factually based) to split the community but the other side has giving proof to disprove it by the numbers from ms count of frames to reaction times of players all your technical arguments of why have been put to bed.

The crys for locking are yummy I can taste the tears very salty

No hes right, stop crying and stop posting like you and the other trolls do the 1000 times i have actually wasted my time explaining the factual and mathematically provable advantages mouse and kb users have over controller users, and that pc’s have over xboxs, which are more negligible except for cheating i grant you, but just stop.

Rare made a decision, the right one based on their paying subs xbox community, deal with more pc players on xplay servers, or give actual ideas to balance the inputs, which is likely next to impossible. Playing dumb about an obvious issue is like others said just trolling and causing drama and not helping this game progress in a positive way.

@d4rk5tar71uk very true I will concede to this point but one side feels more betrayed and hurt than the other should dev promised "no compromise on crossplay" and "no asterisk crossplay" and the other side complained about crossplay when the devs said they weren't going to compromise and bought a crossplay game and decided to complain about it. The devs should stick to what they said and not go back on promises made to the community it's a very slippery slope to continue on and makes me not trust and doubt everything they say now. The least they can do is offer a refund for the bait and switch they pulled and the dishonesty even if your for the crossplay opt out you should have your faith in the dev team destroyed by this. I dont know how they can show their faces to the community on youtube and pretend they didn't lie to our faces they should feel ashamed
