This is offered for feedback for Rare, though it will read like a whinge.
I am aware that the Kraken was weakened recently and fought the new Kraken in a duo sloop for the first time last night. WOW is all that I can say. I don't fight a lot of Kraken's (8 since Shrouded Spoils came out) and have previously defeated 2 solo (being the only 2 I encountered solo), and the Kraken difficulty was ok. A bit easy, and no real risk to an experienced crew/player.
The Kraken last night, defeated in around 30 seconds (maybe not even that). I didn't even go through the 10 cannon balls I was holding. I took down one tentacle, my crew mate took down another. During that time the Kraken hit the ship once. And that was it, Kraken over, recover the generous loot and keep sailing.
How did what was originally a rare and terrifying encounter (back closer to release) turn into an easy, non-challenging, basically guaranteed win. Please Rare up the difficulty, make the seas a terrifying risky place where it feels like a challenge to win!
