Inside ship, never touched A DROP OF WATER
Is it impossible to keep cloth dry?

@rattlyfob that’s not good place mate XD
As long as there isnt a storm, it stays dry there
@rattlyfob ah correct but only if it doesn’t rain near you XD. @FrostKnighHD put it mid deck. For example shelf on brigantine, level below wheel for sloop and the actual mid deck of a galleon or captain’s cabin.

Storms are easy to avoid though so yeah thats why I said "as long as it dosn't rain"
If you are an active pirate and get into fights, your cloth can still get wet on the shelves. (Or when bit by a meg)@weststormborn said in Is it impossible to keep cloth dry?:

I have put it in every possible spot, even up high on the voyage table. This game has so many minor flaws.
@weststormborn rough waves and holes under or near the shelf will still get it wet. But its safe from rain.

@frostknighhd is the cloth wet that it loses value or is it a tad wet with full value?
It magically gets a spot of water on it from GOD KNOWS WHERE, then over the time it takes to deliver it is soaked/waterlogged. And yes I do not go into the water with it.
@frostknighhd okay just making sure, though if you use a rowboat, depending on how far away from the outpost or wherever you are to go, some waves can glitch over the boat

@rattlyfob hmm, true. I do find rough waves to be a glitch fest with my cloth
Its not a glitch its just waves splashing water everywhere
Turns out boats are wet 🤔Well i've issued this before, the only place were they are dry are in the crowsnest and/or the tent over the captains quarters.
With this came the bottle glitch as well, you can leave bottles in a rowboat and drop it while you're being attacked by a skellieship and each and everytime the skellieship hits ya the bottles break no matter how far you are from the battle with the rowboat.
Me and a crewmate got attacked outside plunder outpost so i dropped the rowboat fast as hell before the'a skellieship started firing and rowed over to plunder while my friend turned in the other direction and i said: damn what's destroying the bottles?
My friend said: each and everytime you say that the skellieships hits our boat so gotta be a glitch.
Which sucks but yea....with each and every new updates come more glitches :PThey should really do a hotfix for this asap but they will probably wait a month or two with arena and so forth so we're gonna have to struggle with this shiet :P
@FrostKnighHD
The water tends to glitch through the bottom of the sloop. I tried setting it on the barrels down there and they still got soaked even with no holes. This is why I hate cargo runs. They are just annoying and not worth the effort. These places are generally safe:
- In a sloop: On side shelf in the rear cabin; or on the captain's (quest) table.
- In a brigantine: On the shelf, or captain's table. (Edit: I had said "bed" too, but I have been corrected by @Schwammlgott below.)
- In a galleon: Almost anywhere in the captain's cabin: bed or shelf especially.
I believe if are also carrying plants, you should not load the cloth and plants onto the ship and then throw water onto the deck from the sea or dockside. The cloth can get wet as the water makes its way down to the bottom. Instead, go below, and throw the water directly onto the plants. Or, put a layer of water in the bottom of the ship before bringing the cloth aboard.
Also: Avoid storms. And sinking. :-)

Bed on the brig isn't that good spot...if you have water and hit the waves the water touches it a bit
