Sea of thieves Battle Royale

    Hey there,

    I had a crazy discussion amongst my mates about how cool a SOT Battle Royale would be. The Battle Royale scene is no doubt massive and i think SOT ( Sea of thieves) could definetly join in on the action.

    Imagine the fun and challenge of impecible team work to have to battle your way to be the last ship standing! Say 20 other teams, consisting of the same size ship spawn with limited resouces and forced to farm off close islands. Then as a zone forces ships closer together it just becomes a mad race to keep your ship afloat.

    Havent gone into specifics but I think it could be a successful concept in the Battle Royale Race.

    Actually, the Arena is not battle royale. It is closer to capture the flag, except everyone has to capture the same neutral flag and turn it over to the same neutral base. It is nothing like battle royale.

    I'm sick of games hopping on the band wagon about BR, people are getting burned out of that game area, it's like beating a dead horse at this point

    OR... Just call it Sea of Thieves Deathmatch, to avoid all the people who cry at every mention of Battle Royale.

    Well, i don't really mind the Battle Royale Idea.

    Different ARENA mode would be fun, the same mode over and over
    again would be just like playing the adventure, but in a restricted area with more rules.
    Just different playing mode with different rules for winning that's all
    it takes.
    The ones to use thoses rules and mechanics of the game effeciently wins.

    But if it's a Battle Royale... then for what are we fighting for? Gold? Fame?
    At this point there would a need for a buy a ticket to participate and the top 3
    would split the gold and different award of gold for certain feat in game.

    Of course a list of feat would be accessible to see what you can do to get more ''points''/Gold.
    -Killing X pirates
    -Boarding ship with a canon
    -sinking skeleton ship/meg/kraken
    -Stealing loot
    -Sniping at a certain distance
    -hiding in an enemy ship for X minutes.
    -Hitting enemy ship consecutively with X cannonball

    Of course we can think of many more!

    What are your thoughts on this guys?
