On PC there is a bug that sends you back to the title screen when you press Alt + Tab disconnecting you from the server and making you lose your progress and potentially loot (The only way around this is entering window mode with Alt + Enter, but that is still a gamble). Earlier today I had over 7 captain chests and I got a discord notification and instinctively pressed Alt + Tab which disconnected me from the server making me lose several chests. As a relatively new player (I've played for around 2 weeks now) this has happened to me almost every day and I'm just so sick of it. Rare needs to sort their stuff out and fix blatant issues such as this and stop worrying about stopping cross play and toxicity.

So, let me get this straight. You get disconnected by Alt-Tabbing, you know you get disconnected and yet after 2 weeks you continue to do it and then complain about it it being Rares fault?
If your computer cannot handle you Alt-Tabbing out of Sea of Thieves, don't do it! Don't blame Rare because your computer can't handle it.
They have their stuff sorted out, maybe you should sort out your stuff and stop throwing blame at others for your mistakes!@danish-crusader you clearly play on Xbox so let me set this straight. It is a bug that occurs at random and when this happened I was in windowed mode so it should have never happened in the first place, secondly, every single other game on my PC (which is 10 times better than your measly little Xbox) does not disconnect when it is in the background. This is just a stupid feature that did not cross Rares mind when developing for the PC

No it's not you idiot, like I already stated it above, this is a specific issue of SOT with windows 10 which has to be dealt with by players on their very own, for there is not any kind of information from SOT devs or editor about it.
You can now go flam somewhere else for you blatantly have not the slightiest clue of what this is about you useless troll.

@StrapherOW If allowing Sea of Thieves to run as a Background App doesn't fix it (as Meurtrisseur mentioned), then your best bet is to contact support.
