If you haven't read @xCALYPT0x "kraking" guide I suggest giving that a read for more detailed breakdown on tips for actually killing the beast. How to Solo the Kraken
This is more for spawning tips. Not sure if this could be considered as an exploit though considering you're taking away the randomness of the spawn. Doing it you can easily slay 3+ an hour getting that commendation and ship customisations so much easier.
Spawning
- The Kraken will only spawn if neither a Fort or Fleet is up.
- Join a server, solo, closed crew. Fill your pockets from nearby barrels. (Don't worry too much about bananas)
- Go to your ship and raise anchor, use this time to check for clouds.
- Empty your pockets into the barrels.
- Angle your helm to make sure your ship will hit open water.
- Drop sail and use this time to fill your pockets again.
- Mermaid back and chances are very high she'll spawn
Killing Tips
- A kill is 2/3 tentacles.
- You have limited resources so don't spam cannonballs, aim your shot.
- Be weary when running low on balls, you'll need them to block slaps and wraps.
- If you can only board lower deck.
- If there's a wrap all attention must be on that tentacle, one ball should make it swap sides. Don't waste by shooting multiple.
- Leave loot to the end.
- It is possible to get sucked up from below deck if you spend too long on top deck. As soon as you hear/see the sucking, hide.
Hopefully this helps some pirates. Also if you see a fort/fleet just get completed in the server you're in sail around open water and she may spawn.
