When doing athenas you get a ton of quests and it's already hard to keep up with, but when you have a thousand random quests in your quest menu thing, it just feels overwhelming and cluttered. Making it so you can get rid of them would remove that problem. You would have to vote to remove the quests to avoid trolls.
Make it so you can get rid of quests you find randomly
@dislex-fx when looting barrell I just spam the loot to get it as fast as possible, and I feel most people do this, it's easy to accidently grab quests.
I totally agree.
I do have ideas that would satisfy all players and player types and be very simple to code.-
Make it so we can place these quests into barrels and/or chests just like any other inventory item.
-
place these random quests into one of the many barrels sitting uselessly on our ships. These can be picked up later when the player has the time/desire to do them.
If Rare just turns a few of the barrels into those with an inventory then make it so quests are treated like an inventory item....we can CHOOSE to discard or keep quests for later.
I would follow this with the suggestion that barrels on ships maintain a persistent inventory throughout sessions...just like voyages are treated.
But baby steps.-
I don't think that this should be a possibility. It would need a compleet system for crews with more than one person (someone's garbage is another pirate's joy) to vote them 'back in the barrel'.
Also it would make some quests easier - many a times I get a bonus Order of Souls on an island with a riddle or x-marks the spot. It is my own fault as I hope to get some nice(r) quests instead. If you don't want random quests - just don't take them out of the barrel.
