My Controller is nearly always rumbling (Bug or my controller)?

  • Hi, My controller is nearly always rumbling.
All it takes it an event which causes a rumble to occur and the controller rumbles as expected but doesn't stop.

Is this a recent bug or my controller playing up?

  • Sounds like a defective motor in your controller. Do other games cause the same issue?
Are you on PC or X-Bone?

  • @hynieth This is on PC. Not tried any other games, to be honest I dont really play many others :S

Just tired it on cup head and first vibration causes it to constantly vibrate. I'll try it on my xbox and see if its the same.

  • @stroro Think it may be the controller mate, I’ve had one do it before on my console. And while I do get some rumbling it’s never constant.

Unless I’m in a earthquake in the DR anyway :)

Just installed cup head on my PC, and the vibrate wouldnt stop. Played it on my XBox (same controller) and it worked fine.

    My Issue seems PC based.

  • @stroro Hmmm interesting, well at least you have narrowed down the problem.
For when it comes to PC issues I know nothing I’m afraid so all I can say is I hope you find a solution to fix it. :)

  • I've had this issue, reported it months ago. Still happens, again PC with xbox one controller.

Doesn't happen on any other games or on that controller when connected to an xbox.

Started randomly around the Mermaid Statues update and has persisted since.

The best way to get rid of it is to do an action that causes vibration, so dig the deck, lock the wheel that sort of thing, the vibration will stop, for a while.

Tbh, I'm just used to it now. None of my testing pointed to an issue with the controller itself or repeated the issue in other games though, so maybe its not quite the same issue.
