What does everyone think about having 4 different options of play for the Arena mode. 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4. Sloop for the 1st two, bring for the 3v3, and galleon for the 4v4? I hope they split it like this so everyone can have a fair shake at obtaining level 50 in this faction.

In the trailer for The Arena it certainly looks like crews of 2 (sloop), 3 (Brig), and 4 (Galleon) will exclusively be pitted against each other. While sloops are certainly more nimble and have their advantages, I think this decision comes from a strictly balancing standpoint. In a game mode that's main focus is based around PvP I think having a crew "short handed" is a severe disadvantage.
I however doubt that we'll see a solo crew option. While it's not impossible, I just think it's very unlikely.
@je0rgie-p0rgie ya the 1v1 would be great as that will take some skill but your probably right about them not doing that.
I hope they experiment with a lot of different twists to gameplay, such as some where chests are the objective, some where players have limited or only one life, some where accumulating kills is how you win, etc.
They could do a lot with the world they have built and if they start adding in new weapons and balance the cursed cannonballs a little better this game mode could pull a fortnite for this game, only i suspect the balance in development of both modes would be more equal in this game.
