The kraken when it blocks your way out on a Galleon and brig so you can't bail water is silly it's alway just a matter of time and should be fixed.

@anarchace I’m in agreement, i think it needs to be tweaked as on the Brig, basically if you get wrapped... your gone 90% of the time as there’s no way to bail water.
It happened earlier and it’s pretty frustrating if I’m honest, we where all shooting and slashing the tentacle. I was repairing and trying to throw the water out but there was no gap to get it out.
It was just an instant game over :(
@Nabberwar I thought the water went through aswell but I was doing it earlier and it was just filling up the brig. There was even a little gap which I was trying to aim through and still nothing. :/
You don't shoot or slash the wrapping tentacle anymore - you hit the one closest to the boat instead - do this with your gun or cannon 1-3x and the kraken will let go. Have someone downstairs to repair and bail water (and while you can't move through the tentacle, the water does). Sloops are so open that you can just jump off and climb the ladder to get around the tentacle as needed. When attacked, note your location on the map, so you can return to get your stuff if you get sunk.
The only issue I have with the kraken is getting eaten - sometimes it seems like I can't do anything if swallowed (unless a crewmate saves me by shooting it; solo players are at a disadvantage here) and other times I can cut my way out. When grabbed, your options need to be more consistent, and not a random toss up.
BTW , today marked the 1st time I killed a kraken while soloing.

When the Kraken wraps it's tentacle around your ship, the "head" of this specific tentacle pops up either side of the ship, very close by and in view of the cannons - though it switches sides sometimes to duck you. Two or three cannon balls in the mouth, it will release you.

What happens when this is on a Brig? One person down, one person on top.
The person below cannot bail water and cannot fix the holes fast enough. The person up top runs out of ammo (cannons and bullets) and cannot get down to get a refill. It's basically game over.
We tried the 1-3x shots today with a rifle and nothing. I had two cannonballs left and both hits on the closest tentacle - nothing. Still wrapped over the stairs.
Any hints anyone would like to share...? :-|@cptann3bonny why are you reviving a months old thread.... pretty useless, @Deckhands a lock maybe ?
The stair blocking thing is manageable if you know how to deal with a wrap
