Happenned to me twice so far, the rowboat is bugged with the sloop : when dropping the rowboat which is attached to the sloop, the rowboat begins to shake on the sea and become unaccessable. Last time it ended with a major bug : the outpost I was nearby to sell some stuff disappeared, my avatar was stuck under water and I couldn't reach neither my boat thanks to the ladder nor the shaking rowboat.
BUG : sloop hates rowboats
That's the only rowboat issue.
Some times it's still there, you just need to stand on the back of the ship and launch the boat and that re-sets it.. buuuut..

Light appears on at a distance, but this is true for all ships (as of last week; could be fixed now)
Row boat will often explode when you're docking it to your own ship with kegs in it. If you are so foolish to have the mega keg in your row boat and dock.. You have taken not only your life into your hands, but also risk all your loot. It can also explode simply because you have a keg in the boat while its docked for absolutely no reason.
Row boat will frequently deep 6 it self and frequently takes damage from bumping into docks, other boats, or just about anything.. The other day one of my crew mates was rowing toward some treasure and the boat got maybe 50 paces before it sunk after a wave hit it....
The row boat chest is also temperamental, and needs its activation button changed to be like the banana, cannonball, wood crates.
In addition there is that wondeful bug where the rowboats often spawn on land where it is actually impossible to get them into the water at any point ever.
But my personal favorite is the bug where the row boat flies into the sky, and there is literally nothing you can do about this.. You just fly for no apparent reason, oft times the Yaw and Role are really messed up too, like you're sideways and looking down from 400 yards up.
