While the title does say disasters, I’m talking about natural occurances in general. So, here’s my list of great additions to the natural disasters the game already offers, like the storm, earthquakes, geysers, and eruptions.
Meteor Showers
The night sky in this game can be gorgeous, especially with the appearance of northern lights. But what about meteor showers? This would look beautiful, but it could also even be a chance for treasure! If the player is lucky enough, they could find a meteorite on an island to sell.
Tidal Waves/Tsunamis
With all the earthquakes and eruptions, there’s bound to be some response to that in the ocean itself. Although I’m not quite sure what exactly these waves would do in terms of affecting your ship, it would certainly be a nice addition. However, this of course should not occur too often as that would make sailing unbearable
Waterspouts
How awesome would it be if a tornado on water occurred, picked up your ship, and tossed it off course? While this should obviously not occur too often nor be a continuous occurance for a long period of time, I think the added danger would bring new life to sailing near storms.
Sure, my list wasn’t too long, but I think these would be nice additions to the game to give it a more realistic lively feel. Consider it, Rare!
