Ahoy, lasses and lads, sea dogs and landlubbers, cutthroats and scallywags!
Today I have no suggestions or tales of misadventure to offer, but felt inspired by Joe Neate's words said in the last developer update. He really made me feel appreciated as a community member and proud to be a part of this amazing, new world. I'd like to give a heartful thanks to all the fine folks at Rare for their creation, and their continued hard work and dedication.
I've been following Sea of Thieves ever since it was announced at E3, and have been an avid player since the stress test/final beta. Although I've been busy raising my now 1-year-old daughter, I've tried to put in some time on the open sea everyday since day 1. Not a lot of games have hooked me quite like Sea of Thieves has, and I've never played anything else like it.
I've battled gigantic sea monsters, skeleton crews, and even fellow pirates. I've dodged volcanic rocks falling from the sky and tore through a storm in the dead of night. I've met great friends and made vicious rivals, laughed in death and cried in my grog.
My late cousin was an occasional sailor and I can remember each session we shared like it was yesterday. Now that he's gone, I get reminded of him whenever I play solo. I can almost feel his presence out there sometimes.
Sea of Thieves has helped get this seasoned Pirate Legendhumble sailor through hard times and facilitate good times. So, I want to thank you all again, Rare, for the chance to be a part of your awesome vision. It's more than just a game for me; it's an escape into a story unlike any other. Keep it up!
