Hey guys,
i got some vsync problems with SoT in full screen. My game is locked at 60 fps but only in full screen. As soon as I change to windowed, my fps go up to 100. I already deactivated my vsync in the nvidia settings and also in the ingame settings. SoT is the only game with this problem. Is there any solution for this?

VSync Problems
Sea of Thieves has a framerate limiter among the graphics options.(though I don't know why full screen or windowed would affect this).
But unless your running a gaming monitor with 120hz or higher monitor, there is no benefit in having more than 60 FPS. and can actually be a detriment on a standard 60hz monitor.@crazed-corsair
I have a 144 Hz monitor, there is a big difference for me between 60 and 72 fps (much smoother)@rico-schmidt said in VSync Problems:

First of all, even on 60Hz displays having higher than 60 FPS has a huge advantage because it reduces input lag.
Second: Disable both Vsync and the Framelimiter in the game's settings and also check the Vertical Sync setting in the nVidia Control Panel under the Sea of Thieves entry.
If you still think the game is locked to 60FPS reduce the image quality settings to rare and see if your FPS go up now.

It seems on every driver update the HZ display adapter settings resets.Go to adapter settings, to change you HZ for your monitor to 144,. Does this works?
Vsync caps your FPS depending on your screen refresh rate.
So if you have a 60hz monitor you will then be capped to 60fps.
If you have a 144hz you will be capped to 144fps (or less depending on your specs)Disabling Vsync unlock the limit to whatever your PC can output but introduces tearing effects.
