For streamers: Fullscreen Windowed mode

on march u where allowed to use fullscreen windowed mode... i think it went unable to select because a lot of hackers appeared to play and maybe its more "buggable"... but i need it to use my one-monitor over screen chat overlay... because im loosing some followers for not seing what they are writting... and for that is strictly needed to be on window mode... and i cannot use the title bar and the taskbar when playing because i loose a lot of screen area and i dont have good eyes health...

Maybe invest in a second monitor? Especially if you're trying to stream & communicate with your viewers.

its very expensive and need to change the complete desk to do that, AND! It wastes a lot of electric energy

I ve tryed using a tablet besides the screen and i cannot pay attention to another screen... it must be the screen im using.

remember im using lens in front of my eyes and my visual area is limited to the lenses, so i cannot see things to the sides...

@el-kape Ah. It's unfortunate that the good lord did not bless you with peripheral vision as he did the rest of us, or allow you to move your eyes. Must be terrible, life as an owl.

Well, this looks to be a horse/water situation. Because of Microsoft's approach to Microsoft Store apps, the game currently is a faux fullscreen and more like fullscreen windowed (which is why the taskbar comes up in the inventory/menu screens). They used to have it be more fullscreen windowed, but they had to change it after pirates were getting killed after inadvertently minimizing their screen or having control taken away from the player in the middle of a fight because the cursor happened to go too close to the top or bottom of the screen. I was one of those people. That's why they changed it. And, if it's a choice between dealing with that and you having to move your eyes slightly to the left or right to look at a second screen, I choose the latter.

it still shows the taskbar and the title bar if it is at fullscreen not windowed.
the only thing that changes when its on fullscreen window is that you can use a window overlay over it, preferable transparent and showing you the text of the people writting to you.

AND!!! try to look around 360 degrees on the game, rotate the weel, set the rear sail, question for the angle and distance of the non saw objects and enemies, check your ship and talk with your crew, deal with one or more enemy ships, take a look for boarding enemies, deal with the kraken and megalodon at same time and survive. Try to pay attention to all that while doing two or more actions at a time and take a look to your phone. I cannot remember phone ever exists since they re not invented yet.

Ah! anyway @Bran-the-Ent , you dont have the obligation to select fullscreen window by the way... u re free to use pure fullscreen... and a hint for your travels... try to use fan vision (i saw your video)... like an owl, but inside the game. That is far better than throwing dirt to someone asking for help.

there is a way to play in "window mode" without seeing the bar on the top.
So you can maximize the game and you sure... have borderless "fullscreen"

I put an empty explorer window in front so you can se there is no bar in Sea of Thieves and also the Game isnt minimizing. Then i made this Screenshot:
