1440p Resolution and FPS cap at 72

    Got such a problem and found this topic https://www.seaofthieves.com/forum/topic/31551/fps-locked trying to find the solution. So the solution is still not found.
    Whatever your system is - SoT caps your FPS at 72 (half of monitor hz) if you use 1440p resolution (probably not just 1440p for some) at full screen.
    Going to windowed mode or switching to other resolutions (1200p, 1080p, etc.) - breaks this cap again letting FPS fly.

    I tried switching there and back windowed-fullscreen modes, playing with resolutions and at one time somehow I got in options - 2 types of my native resolutions. One of them worked with 1440p and no FPS cap...but on the next day it was all the same. Problem stands.
    Vsync off/on, configuring special options in Nvidia panel for SoT doesn't help too.

    So anyone found the solution for this problem maybe?

    Sounds like a very odd issue. I myself run at 1440p and can get roughly 90~ fps on my system without any sort of cap.

    Have you tried reducing every graphics setting to its minimum and increasing them in increments to try nail down the issue? maybe try turning windows game mode on / off? (Windows + G is the shortcut)

    @conroar As I said before its not related to graphic settings. I have top tier hardware (i7-8700k, 2080ti) and my average FPS is 100+

    Anyway I found a "solution" - at least I found what was the problem. Trying to stream this game in 1440p via capture card gives such a surprise - only windowed mode, or 72 fps cap.

    I'm sure such a thing will never be fixed so this topic can just be closed. Thanks.

    @ren0unced So, this is a limitation of your capture card? I'm wondering because I just got a GPU capable of 1440p and don't want to have a cap.

    @bran-the-ent If you plan just to play the game - no you shouldn't get that cap. Its some conflict between capture card and windows store games, because I got this cap only in SoT and nowhere else.
