I'm sure this topic has probably been brought up once or twice but I'm only recently returning the game and would just like to express a personal request of mine, which may or may not be shared by others.
The random nature of character creation always sort of bothered me even when the game was released, but with further additions to customization I've realized there may be the potential for a proper character re-customization. I don't know how this could be implemented, whether it be some sort of system that interacts with the pre-game lobby (where you select a boat, etc.) or through some sort of in-game system (perhaps a vendor which sells "faces", etc - or an NPC that can simply change your appearance.)
One of the main motivators for this game is cosmetics, and its honestly a little disappointing to me that I can't make my pirate look specifically how I want her to look; with my best option being to recreate my character (thus erasing all my progress and time-exclusive rewards) to get a chance at randomizing a character I like the look of.
To clarify, I am aware of the ability to change hair, facial hair, scars, tattoos and hair colour. I would just like the ability to sort between gender, faces and body type as well. These options could be selectable from the currently existing pool of face/body types that are in the randomizer, however there is also the option for more faces and body types to be added in future content. (Imagine something like a Davey Jones octopus face.)
Customization is important to me, and I think it could be taken a step further - if theres a more gathered interest in this sort of thing. Thoughts? Opinions? Critiques? Possible?
