Skeleton Ships should spawn Supply Crates and Gunpowder Barrels

  • Cross-post from Pioneer Catagory

I'm aware that this is hardly an up-to-date suggestion, but I thought it would make these fights more enticing. I think each Skeleton Ship should spawn 1 full supply crate of any kind, and 1 gunpowder barrel.

I feel the supply crates should be spawned to encourage pirates to actually do the battle. My own crew, and I imagine many others, never feel like gathering the necessary supplies for one of these fights. It takes a half hour minimum, and is insanely boring. Were the supplies guaranteed at the fight, pirates would not be nearly as hesitant to sink the skeleton sailors . I also feel that the KIND of crate not being garunteed could force pirates to adopt new tactics, such as: 'Fire as much as you can, but you'd better not stop bailing!' 'If you're gonna board the skellies, you'll providing your own bananas!' It would also make scrambling for the sunken skeleton loot way more important, as I know many crews currently let Davy Jone's have it.

I feel the gunpowder barrel present on the boney behemoths would open up a wide range of tactical decisions to make. 'Should we shoot the ship as it spawns to get some easy water in?' 'Should we wait until we have someone onboard to stop repairs?' 'Should we risk killing our boarder by shooting while they're onboard?' 'Should I move the barrel somewhere safe so we can save it for later ships?' Etcetera.

I also think this might result in crews using the awesome Skeleton Ships to supply up, as opposed to sailing to empty forts for a good half hour, bored as can be. I do recognize that this change would make Skeleton Ships easier, but this could be easily adjusted for in the way of stronger cursed, more skeletons, more water room, etcetera.

Also, the dancing and sleeping ships suck.

Prepare for some backlash from the die-hard try hards. lol
Some think we're asking for free hand-outs when in reality were asking for more play time instead of scouring barrels for an hour [sarcasm] yeah great fun [/sarcasm] only to lose the lot within minutes.

I think that all sunken vessels should have their supply barrels float to the surface, skeleton ships included.

The questions you've asked would apply whether the skeleton ships spawn supplies or not.

We already do try to use their supplies when onboard a skeleton ship defending holes from being repaired. Not only bananas but planks and cannonballs too.

  • @wilbymagicbear Ahoy mate! Some very well thought out ideas here! I do want to just mention to be cautious of the Pioneer NDA when Cross-Posting from that category. You’ve not made any mistakes here at all, as a new pioneer however I felt like it would be good to let you know in case you didn’t already! Also usually if you're post does not contain any NDA'd information it's always best to only post 1 topic in the section with the greatest audience!

If you have any questions feel free to send me a message, otherwise I look forward to more of your ideas in the future!”

  • @dhg-ixxrmacxxi Thank you, but I know! I read it twice, just to be sure.

  • @dhg-ixxrmacxxi Thanks, I'll avoid doing that.
