Xbox App Issues...

    I know, surprise surprise, issues with this damn app... XD

    Currently, it cannot find any friends on my list. So, that means we cannot join each other on a ship together.
    Is there any known fix for this right now? Any workaround?

    Secondly, I remember people mentioning another app (was it the beta one? The insider hub one? I can't recall) that some claimed worked better and was more reliable.

    In fact, I never receive game invites with the Xbox App (so, I always have to JOIN others in such cases). Someone once told me that using this other app solves that issue (that others also have).

    Been playing the game for over 6 months, and I'm finally getting around to asking about this, lol...

    Plus, currently, I can't even access anyone on my friends list (my partner is having the same issue, so I am guessing the xbox friend servers are having a technical issue atm).

    Any help would be terrific!!

    I saw someone post on Reddit that they were having Xbox Live issues, and the status page seems to say services are limited (doesn't say friends lists are affected, but in my experience it often omits services that might be impacted by issues). I occasionally have issues similar to yours, however these past couple of days it seems to have been exacerbated.

    Just out of curiosity, are you able to see your friends list, but it says your friends are offline? I've been able to still send invites when I encounter this, that my crewmate receives. Despite them being offline, the app still gives me the invite to game option. Figured I'd throw that out there in case it helps.

    Right. Sadly, no, it just won't show any friends at all right now, even through searching.

    Thanks mate! Yep, that's what I suspected. Thanks for the link!

    What a shame the game is so heavily tied to this service, when I was just saying the update's release has been so smooth.
    Ah well, hopefully the outage won't much longer.

    At least it resolved quicker this evening. Hopefully things will be a bit better going forward
