So first off, you find rowboats on islands. Once you find one you can push it into the water and hop in. There are seats for multiple pirates and even a chest!
Now to row, you use LT for the left oar and RT for the right. Press then both to go straight and remember, you're sitting backwards but can turn your head enough to see where you're going.
Then you get to your ship...man wouldn't it be nice to dock?! Well you can. Go to the stern (back) of your ship and stand up, hold Y at the prompt and viola! You now have your rowboat docked on your ship!
