Nothing much to say here, they are outright broken.
I suggest removing them from the game or limiting their spawns to 1 per wave.
Also make them killable by a single gunshot so you can quickly switch from sword to pistol to take them out.
Skeletons with guns
@vulgrim1911 I do also hate them sometimes, but to be honest what would the game be without any struggle?
It's always interesting to get a spawn of skeletons equipped with eye of reach, blunderbuss and swords at the same time... = instant death :)
And if you are annoyed now, wait until you do an Athena in case you haven't yet. Then they need about 9 hits each with a sword to go down and spawn everywhere lol

Maybe that's what started this whole undead war. The skeletons aren't really bad. They're just upset about being jilted by cold-hearted pirates all the time. Poor skellies. No wonder they have guns now!
@dutchyankee if Rare made skeletons passive untill provoked people wouldn't notice at first. Shoot first ask questions later is the typical MO.
Skeleton ships be like: "Hey there I just pulled over to ask you where golden sands outpost is, there's this girl I'm dating called wanda who left some.... " BOOOOOMMMM!!!

People seem to miss the point of my post.
Skeletons with guns have around 80-90 weapon accuracy, if you get 2-3 pistol skeletons locked onto you you're dead, and while doing forts this happens way more than it should.I wouldn't mind them if they shot projectiles that could be dodged, serious sam style.
@vulgrim1911 it’s called a challenge it’s not suppose to be easy but I can tell you now you can take a fort with 2 players and iv heard of ppl soloing the forts aswell so if the Skeletons were OP this wouldn’t be possible just sounds like you need a little more practice in PVE try moving around more and stay out of the open as much as you can also you can read the Skeletons before they attack they take their time to fire giving you a chance to get cover or hit them which stuns them for a brief moment
@vulgrim1911 I think that the Eye of Reach skeletons were an overkill to me, because it's now becoming much more of a hassle to deal with them, when you have the other skeletons present whilst doing something like a Gold Hoarders quest or Merchant Quest.

I solo forts by myself friendo.
It's just a pain to be forced to run because 6 pistol skeletons spawned in the wave.Being killed by that also feels CHEAP.
There is a challenge and there is cheap deaths.that's the thing. everyone wants this game to be easier. hand me this. hand me that. why another boat shooting at me. plz make a safe zone so I can hide with my loot till it's safe. give me free rep and money. this is all things that crybabies want. I want this game very very hard. I have 2 legend accounts. both at Athena 10. it took me 12 weeks before all this easy stuff came about. why don't rare just hand u guys lvl 10 Athena and pirate legend.
@vulgrim1911 so what I’m hearing is you think you should die after being shot and the skeletons should just let you beat them come on dude their not even remotely that bad reducing the amount of skeletons with guns only makes the waves easier and brings down the challenge of forts besides that most of the forts you can kite the wave to one spot and blow them up with a Gunpowder barrel so if you wanna talk cheap kills the player has more options be more inventive with your play style
@vulgrim1911 Damn son, so now you want just skulls with hands and swords to attack you? I know they are annoying and can kill you in some cheap way, but thats the point of it, or you want to just run and gun skull around with no challenge? Dying (a lot) is part of the game so learn how to play ;)
If you block and while holding block jump, you will side step. It’s a great doge tactic and way to avoid being shot. You just need to pay attention. If on Xbox slowly increase the sensitivity (raising it to fast just gets confusing for most). It will allow you to aim and react faster exp with snipers while aiming down scope.
Skeletons with guns should not be an issue when you improve in combat.

@vulgrim1911 Yes, lets just remove everything challenging in the game to make it easier to get money... How much more fun that will be.......
Maybe just be more tactical, everyone else manages just fine, either shoot them or tnt them
@genuine-heather I think they should give the Skeletons alliance flags. And when these flag bearing skellies spawn, you get the text spam of “WE’RE FRIENDLY!!”, “FORM AN ALLIANCE!” As they chase you with a Gunpowder Skelly in tow.
@vulgrim1911 I assume since you said waves that you are referring to Forts and skeleton quests (Probably Forts since they spawn frequently there). Well while I don’t really agree with removing/limiting skeletons with guns, let me offer some suggestions.
Fighting a fort:
In this situation the center building is your best friend. You can use the door to easily kill skeletons. If the skeletons are using guns and are on the inside/outside of the center area, then simply go around a wall (Preferrably near the doorway). This forces the skeletons with guns to get closer to be able to shoot you, when they do get close simply cutlass them to death.Doing an Order of Souls Quest:
In this situation, cannons are your best friend. If you are having problems with gun skeletons in this situation, simply utilize the cannons and fire at them away from shore. This allows you to avoid their shots and still take them out.Hopefully this helps (Mainly with the forts).
