I’ve been wondering if the chest of legends gives you the same amount of Athena rep if a crew in your alliance turns it in? I have heard both yes and no from players in game. Could someone tell me for a fact if it does?

That's a no. All loot turned in by an alliance member is 50% of the actual value. So if an alliance member turns it in and gets, for example, 3000 gold + rep then you would only get 1500.
