Let me tell you a tale about a misfortune pirate and the story behind the origin of Kraken's Fall name
There was a time a lonely sailor, made of his bloodline said to be Rackham related and pirate legend himself, decided to take a journey on the seas.
A huge Voyage said to reward the ones who complete it with a mythical and legendary chest, an Athena's Voyage.
But the waters were dangerous that time, a rogue shopkeeper started a war against the world.
Skeleton Crews emerged from the depths with their ships and cursed cannonballs, threatening all the regions.
Around the 10th day he decided to take part in that fight. At Ancient Islands, there was a Sloop and it's crew of two men, struggling against those ships and their drunken curses.
The sailor joined them and an Alliance was formed.
He tried his best and never perished and never lost his ship once.. held the strings by himself while the other Crew sunk for a couple of times, he was brave and experienced. The other sailors were astonished how he could remain there for so long fighting by himself.
Along the way a Brigantine's crew joined and Meg as well. They won the fight all together.
Chanties and grog were shared all the way to the Outpost, too much grog to be fair.. and the other sloop took advantage of it to gain distance from the fleet, mutinying themselves betraying the alliance and flee with their part of the loot..
The Brigantine swore vengeance against them and managed to find more ships to join the hunt against the rogue sloop.
The lonely sailor needed to get back to his Voyage, so he arranged an agreement. In change of the remaining supplies from the sloop he could remain under the alliance flag and share all the loot.
So it was untill the last ship of the alliance left the sea, the contract remained untouchable. Even other ships that joined after knew about the legend of that lonely sloop.
The sailor returned to his Voyage and spent days chasing the legendary reward.
The secret was finely revealed, his destination was Kraken's Fall, a simple spot on the center of the island, the resting place of untouched gold.
When he was about to reach the shore he noticed another vessel chasing him, a sloop with 2 rookie sailors.
He knew the island well so he managed to park the ship inside the bay. Only the most experienced would be able to do it and take ship out or there.
Due to the shallow waters of the bay, the ship is very hard to sink and only knowing the bottom of the bay is possible to slalom a way out of there, or else it will hit the Kraken's Remains and won't move.
Obviously the rookies didn't know that and one of them tried to sail the ship out of there by himself unsuccessfully as the other tried to hit it from the outside with cannonballs.
The legendary sailor laughed and tried to dissuade the others by making fun of them while taking them down and hiding inside the island.
But the arrogance of the sailor was a high price to pay.
He fell off the cliff straight to an hole between the rocks...
An hole he couldn't get out of there by any means.
There he remained until the end of his days. Others could say the hole is where mythological creatures go to die and reborn. So maybe he turned himself into some kind of undiscovered creature.
Maybe someday we will know... And maybe someday someone will find the treasure remaining there.
