All My Best Ideas/Posts ( QuickSand, Carnivorous Plants, Volcano Island, Ocean Whirlpools, Island on the Back of a Moving Sea Creature, etc )

  • So Awhile back one of the Developers told me to put all my ideas i get together in one post rather then individually, so that is what I'm doing here. I would love feedback from the community on some of theses ideas, and would love to hear your input( Positive or Negative), and most of all would love for you all to expand on them and the Mechanics on how you think they should be!! Thank you for taking the time to read this and adding your input

    Trenches that lead to hidden wonders and frightening Mystery's

    Heavy Fog (what could be on the other side of that white wall....)

    Underwater Volcanoes (pillars of plasma that could hit the bottom of your ship or even a player walking under the ship)

    Bubbles that allow you to dive deeper in the ocean...(but what makes those bubbles....)

    possibly ancient scuba gear

    Rivers of Acid (full of skull and bones of dead creatures half melted with a haze of white)

    Sea of Thieves Triangle - Areas of the Ocean Map that will teleport you to another area in the ocean (maybe off the coast of island not on the offical map, and when you sail away it teleports you back)

    Ocean River caves/portals that connect or send you to other parts of the ocean (like a WATER SLIDE) or something else.

    Underwater Kingdoms(Ancient and advanced underwater citys) / Sunken Cities/ Pyramids

    Kraken Swimming and FULL body animation

    Camouflaging Enemy's ( Player : are those eyes floating.... run run RUNNN!)

    More Variety of under water creatures ( examples - seals, whales, octopus's, Large Clams, Eels, Dolphins, j*******h, Angler Fish,Sarcastic Fringehead, Frilled Shark, Giant Isopod, lobster, Giant Crabs)

  • Yep have seen all your post’s maaan and i like your idé’s (but i think the game is to Young for your idé’s) not stable

  • @crackerjackx13 to be honest i would like gaplinghooks <—- know thats not right Word for it, but Yeah i want to be able to grab enemy ship (like real boarding, and If you grab a enemy ship they shuld be able to cut the rope’s to get away.

    I want to be able to swing myself from crownest onto enemy ship.

    I want a new Gun (musket) and No sniper.

    I want to be able to Hunt for wale.

    I would like to have a real big port (like a area were we can buy stuff (shuld be a safezone) but you cant sell stuff there

    I would love to get our world more seaish but still more deadly (i want to be able to use chainballs and wreck other ships)

    I want to feel like a real pirate, but atm the game is to Young

  • @crackerjackx13 Man this is quite a list of awesome ideas you put together. I seen a few of your post from my earlier days in the forums but i didn't relized you had so many. Great job if we could get even half these ideas into the game it would probably win an award. It's treads like this that show off just how much potential that just makes me both so excited and fustrated at this game as i sit here patiently waiting after each update to till we get the one that will allow to finally see and play this game in it's full glory.

  • @alzheimeers Grappling Gun i think you mean kinda like some super hero, they did have grapples back then, when you were close enough to a enemy or friendly ship you could throw it and pull the other ship up against yours, great idea (when i was a kid i asked for one for Christmas)

    I really enjoy all of your ideas. , Hopefully they will be interactive, but we canr hope for everything. They would certainly add a richness to the evolving tale. I don't develop software, therefore; I won't presume to tell you how to build the nuts and bolts. I enjoy each of these suggestions. Few may be implemented, but any are an improvement.

  • @crackerjackx13 i will say it again, and again, and again. I enjoy a good PvP. But not every time I log on. And certainly not after I and my crew spent hours accumulating resources, only to be sunk by a lazy stalker just for fun.
    PvE dedicated realms, or stop advertising the game as anything but PvP. My friends prefer a world with choice. The game was billed that way, but the reality has been false. This game is not pve friendly in any way. It is simply fishbait for trolls. If devs are satisfied with that reality, good for you. You achieved you goal. Good heading.
    1: If you want to offer a dual choice game: build one or two "pve safe" ports. Obtainable within the "banner distance". No pvp on those ports. Safe quest return. .75 return at pve ports opposed to pvp ports. (Larger reward, larger risk).
    2: mirror pvp/pve servers... ie: (rockstar, wow, swtor.. etc.)
    3: pve instancing. NO PvP within the instance
    4: pve expansion zones. Crossing PvP waters to enter pve waters, shores, lands. Pve only shores, lands, subsurface etc.
    5: PvE. Vs. PvP challenges- individual choice... (applicable only to willing participants).
    6: resource collection: return 75% of gathered resources (cannonball, bananas, planks). to affected ship post sink, fail, troll victim, etc.
    7: time spent (wasted on merchant missions/ post sinking by players only) returned for Ratio/Current session comparative time.
    8: oathbreakers: alliance-breakers, loot thieves,= AI pirate hunters.
    9: defensive ai ship pirates (purchased with gold/time limited)

    I DIG THIS GAME, and the enormous possibilities/opportunities offered by the world foundation. I'm excited for it, pressed my friends and family to purchase it.
    Then they came to understand and accept that the game is strongly slanted for the 20% trolls who prowl these seas.
    We enjoy PvP. We seek it out on many occasions. WOW, Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty, Warthunder.... I could go on and on.
    We hoped for a balanced world as it was billed. A place where pve and pvp could occasionally meet, interact, and clash.
    The current game failed to meet our expectations.
    The current game build favors, supports, protects, and rewards 20% antisocial behaviour. We hoped for better, and some of us hold onto hope.
    If this is the sea you sought, enjoy your seas.
    If you seek to build this world into a cooperative/PvP platform, you simply MUST recognize that the current framework slants downhill for the 20%.
    Should the game continue this build, we hybrids WILL leave. And will NOT return. The sharks will claim that they won't miss them/us. Until they realize that we fishbait are gone. Leaving only Shark Vs. Shark. Perhaps that was the ultimate goal, but most of them/ won't return. Far better pve/pvp offerings exist. They/we will retreat from the sharks/trolls.
    And they will advise other pve oriented players to avoid the toxic sea of trolls.
    The choice remains in your hands. I applaud your effort. But it's not perfect, nor can it please everyone. If you remain content with your audience, enjoy and good luck mates.

  • @crackerjackx13 okay read through your ideas and I do like a few, but I would suggest the specific idea of how underwater bubbles are made should change. There isn’t really ancient scuba gear, but I think some form of aquatic plant that produces air should work.

  • @thunderbirdz8 I do find your idea of pvp a bit extreme though I do see concern. Although if you noticed, there hasn’t been any specific PvP styled updates, except the fighting of ai ships which is still PvE on accounts of skeletons.

    I do question though where the game is advertised as solely PvP. I found a partial instances in the first ever trailer but even that showed PvE elements.

    Edit: I forgot to address this in my op but there is no favor for PvP. Finding a ship with loot is even rare to come by and you aren’t paid to sink a ship.

  • @crackerjackx13 if you don’t mind me cutting in on the sea creature you’d want to see, but I would like a manatee so when I’m drunk in game I can say there is a merfolk in the water.

  • @weststormborn i really like the idea of a aquatic plant that produces air, i was almost thinking about a underwater sea monster that produces air near deep under water caves.

    Also moving island/island on back of animal has been done....
    I think the game you want to play is actually Zelda: The Wind Waker...
    Many of your ideas are taken straight from that game...

    Volcano islands already coming comfirmed...

    Bury your own treasure is the only thing I would keep as it follows the feel of the game and blends with the simplicity...

    Nothing in this game takes a complex or overly flashy execution.... and it should stay that way.. not particularly crazy about cluttering the game.

  • @wilderness03 thank you for the input many things have been done some could argue nothig is orginal, but id like to see a rare style of a island on the back of a monster, that moves around the map.
