I'm wondering, is text chat ever going to be added to the Xbox One version of SoT? I'd really like to know because I'm waiting for it to be added before I get into the game again. As much fun as the game was for the first week or two of it launching, I decided I would wait until text chat is added because I feel the game would be so much better for me (and my crew). Does anyone know if it's a planned feature? I heard it is, but I'd like to know for sure. Thanks!

Joe talked about that at SDCC.
It's not currently planned at the moment but they are looking to bring text chat and keyboard support in their roadmap and extend accessibility for Xbox players. They really want to do that but they don't know yet when it will be.

@skulliah just curious, is that kb/m support for playing the game? or just kb support for text chat?
@pomalotacusmk3 sorry if it wasn't clear, they want to extend accessibility for Xbox players, they talked about bringing text chat support and kb/m support. We already know Microsoft is working to bring kb/m support for a long time so Rare might probably be working with Microsoft's roadmap about that one.

Earlier in the year, Microsoft gave a presentation to developers detailing keyboard and mouse support on Xbox One.
@skulliah Thanks for the info. Kinda sad it may not come for a while, but I'm glad to hear it may be on their roadmap! I do hope we get text chat soon though because I feel I haven't gotten my money's worth out of the game with how little I've played. Happy to support the devs though, and it's nice to see they are supporting the game and adding actual content which people want. I guess it's understandable why text chat support may be at the bottom of the list of features they'd wanna add
