This happened me a lot before. It looks like some kind of lag that happens in the moment of putting something down. Is there a way to avoid this? Or it is beyond my control? It is especially bad, when it happens while I stealing from somebody, they got me because of this :D

In the options you can put an FPS counter + PING counter
If you see the ping going up like crazy it should be lag on the side of Rare. Else your internet is lagging.
if you have a slow connection, lets say 25Mbit and you have 2 people in the house browsing their smartphones... loading some vids.... You run out of bandwith and will encounter lag like this.
I never encountered this so far. I have a 1000MBit connection. Sometimes the ping goes up crazy and yes, there's lag, but you notice your character moving around will be a bumpy ride
@handsh0t I have 100Mbit connection. Strange thing this is almost the only lag I experience. Sometimes the wave of the ocean strangely freeze / jump back to a state before in a second, but this one happens once or twice a week and it is very annoying.
@yzahkin This is lag on Rare's side. I think its due to the servers straining under peak times. I've never had it on a static boat but I have rubber banded through the boat as well as said boat either flying or submerging only to right itself seconds later. This might explain why every week Rare does server maintenance.
