So I know we have a Discord, a subreddit, website forums, Xbox LFG, etc. But there are not really any places for new sailors to find say a more seasoned sailor to show them the ropes.
While yes, this is technically an additional LFG type thing. I just think it'd be a way to show that despite seeing alot of salt about getting killed and robbed by players, the countless arguments of griefing, and generally the low chance of meeting friendly pirates out on the seas. That a good majority of us are actually decent pirates willing to help out other pirates! We all have loaded into this game and didn't know how to properly sail. And a good majority of us still could use some work because no body is perfect.
I myself like to help out my fellow pirates whenever I can. Whether that be giving advice here on the forums or in game. To helping them with their ships in game. While yes, it is Sea of Thieves and not Sea of Friends. I am not always looking to kill and rob people. I try to give vanilla ships a chance before I open fire. While yes, you cant trust people to stay true to their friendly nature. Here on the forums we can actually offer to teach someone new something or a trick or two we've picked up along the way. I just think it would be a great way for us who have been around for awhile to help bring new pirates up to speed faster and help solve some problems they or other pirates face!
Not trying to start an argument so please, do the same. And to clarify. Not. Saying. Don't. Kill. Just trying to be a better pirate in ways that dont revolve around the plunder if that makes sense.
