Have you had one in a bottle, I've had countless bottle quests for everything else
Just never a wood crate mission@doctortourettes I've had a lot of wood crate quests and barely any others so yeah I say they come in bottles more then the others :-)

I just hope Rare ups the reward money for them and adds them to the merchant voyages. That'd be so nice to see, something different (more A-to-B mission where you just need to transport.)

😜I’ve never seen a single wooden plank crate/message in a bottle for a wooden plank crate...precious few cannonball crates and only one banana crate. Seeing as how to date I pretty much solo slooped from the Tech Alpha to the mid-20s (till the last couple weeks or so when I was pulled by my hook, pegleg dragging onto a couple talented crews :-) ) and rarely ever purchased a voyage. I just explored islands and shipwrecks looking for booty and bottles. And that was a lot of bottles over the months! Wooden Plank Crates are rare...indeed.
I have been saying this almost from the beginning. They need to make it so the washed up crates (cannon ball/wood plank/bananas) actually give you a voyage also. If you don't feel like doing the voyage but having the extra container for battles or what not, you still have it.
That said, I have never run into an actual merchant/Athena voyage that contains a crate item. They only exist as messages in bottles, and even still the wood plank missions I believe are not in the game.
