Purchasing Ghost "Athenas" Cosmetics

    I have been playing this game for a while now and at this point in time I am frustrated at how many pirates have the Athena clothing that are not Pirate Legends. I feel you shouldn't be able to buy these cosmetics until you are a Pirate Legend. Now that is not to say you can't get the reputation for turning in the chest, you just shouldn't be able to buy the clothing. Seeing all these non-Pirate Legends with Ghost boots/pants/gloves/belt makes this cosmetic kind of worthless. Not knowing that this person is a PL and yet having this cosmetic when you need a PL to open the door is ridiculous.

    let me know your thoughts on this.

    I completely agree. PL needs to feel more exclusive.

    They still did the work though, they fought the endless waves of skellies, they dug the chests, they caught the chickens, so why not let them have the clothes? They can't even get in to buy them without a Legend to open the door, so they've also put the social work in to befriend someone else in game, good on them I say, leave them be.

    @celestron90 I saw a post about adding PL Blige Rat stuff, because we have all these extra Dabloons and nothing to spend them on.

    @celestron90 Legends need more exclusive content, cosmetics and voyages, but I don't think you need to stop people getting Athena's, we've got that awful purple outfit, I always wear my boots and belt, but I hate the purple coat and I'm still bitter that there's no shirt for either set.

    @reedski They can buy the stuff when they prove themselves worthy i.e. becoming a PL. Like I said they still get the reputation, and once then become a PL they can buy it.

    @yashiero Can definitely agree here, by letting non Legend players buyLegend clothing it kinda waters down the rewards and makes being a Legend less exclusive and feel less rewarding.

    I think the better solution would be to get rid of that ridiculous ghost stuff completely. But that's another subject...

    @genuine-heather I personally like some of the Ghost cosmetics. The coat is horrendous though.

    Yeah, personal taste and all that. I just think the whole idea of glowing pirate clothes is silly. To each their own.

    You will probably know when its a PL because OR the person will be using the full p**p outfit (the ones that are really proud of themselves and love purple) OR they will be with one PL item, as a "detail". Gloves, belt and eyepatch are the most used ones.

    Personally not a big fan of the glowing stuff so I have kept my usual outfit on even after reaching legend! So you cant spot me coming!
