Forth of July is right around the corner! Come join us at Shark Bait Cove on July 4th around 12pm(CDT) and have an explosive time! We'll have grog, bananas, music, dancing, and best of all cannons! All you need to bring is as many gun powder barrels as you can carry (safely of course) and place them in the middle of Shark Bait Cove! Once the sun goes down... BOOM!!

@d-jaguar Oooooh the outposts is a good idea... if everyone knew to light up the outposts this day it would be awesome!
There are some good spots on pretty much all the outposts... the high mountainous rocks of Plunder to the shipwreck on Galleons Grave.
No other way than to sail over and check. Though if enough people join in on the idea, it won't matter, as there'll be some people there regardless.
@reedski I laughed so hard that my family had to find out what caused it.
Now I'll have to find an active skeleton fort!

I was thinking Shark Bait Cove because it is at the edge of the map, away from other pirates who do not want to take part. Also, if we do it at outposts, we will be blocking the flow of "traffic" for pirates who want to do trading companies. Its going to be very explosive, so I was thinking Shark Bait Cove would be "safer".
@knifelife If you do not find anyone there, you might be on a different server than me and my crew. But don't worry! Anyone can try to gather players on the seas and do it anywhere you like! :)
@coralstar51199 we should do biggest explosion challenge between boats and people get to judge ill donate a skull fort and some chests if someone helps

Oooh yes, with it basically traveling all the way up to the broken ship wreck above, which a ton up there as the finale! That'd be sweet!

Wouldn't Ancient Spire or Galleons Grave be better? You can fill up the whole area with gunpowder up to the mountain/galleon...would look great

I wanted to test the idea out.
I exploded the barrels all the way up Key Haul Fort and it looked great.
Sailed across the sea picking up barrels from the three forts on the way to Galleons Grave. There weren't enough barrels to lead them all the way down the path. I thought it was enough to have them at the top with a small trail.
Sadly, I sailed my ship to the other side of the island from the port, and waited for dusk before firing my sniper at the galleon on top. I never saw the explosion. I fired myself on to the galleon, and there were no barrels left.
This may not work as planned. Anyone have any success?
@coralstar51199 I’m not American but this sounds fun, but being British maybe I should bring crates of tea :P
