New ship designs, better skins

I am just not motivated to grind. I feel like there should be new ship designs available at different levels. Not just skins, totally different looking ships. No new or different capabilities. Just better cosmetics, different designs.
As far as skins go, I can't begin to explain my disappointment. I have teenagers who could design better looking skins. I told an in game buddy that the ship skins feel very feminine in general, especially the legendary ones. Now it seems like everyone is rocking the same megalodon skins, as they are clearly the most aggressive, masculine skins atm. I am not sure why SoT has chosen to decorate the ships with glowing unicorns and purple all over the place. It just doesn't look, or feel very legendary. Frankly, it only makes sense after installing the rainbow flag.
I want to look at a ship on the horizon and know if it belongs to a legend. Not waiting to see a purple paint job. Motivate me Rare. It's a long grind.
