If someone with a good voice cares to sing this, I'd be grateful to hear it. Without reference to the title, I decided to give this "shanty" some words; so it can be enjoyed without instruments (though it would sound better in addition to the hurdy-gurdy and concertina). The lyrics are sung basically in line with Robin Beanland's melody.
Here is his awesome version.
a story told is treasure sold
a journey tied to end
but not all tales are placed to scale
they drift on the windless blue
the sea found me lost and lonely
and lonely long i sailed
but come along and sail with me
in friendship i shall not fail
with a song in each tankard
and a dance around the anchor
let us sail forever a crew
a storm is ever afore
and poverty waits back ashore
but a glint on the water
and a mark upon the plotter
let us sail forever a crew
though the waves push us far from line
though the stars reveal rocks unkind
may our journeys they never end
