For those who are unaware, they can and WILL attack solo sloops, so unlike how the kraken seems to be, solo and duo players have a genuine threat to be ready for. It just happened to me and it's safe to stay, a change of pants was most certainly needed considering I had quite the haul on me and needed to get to an outpost fast.

Interesting. Where abouts did you guys come across them? I've been sailing for a few days since the Meg update, but haven't come across one yet.
I had one surface and swim alongside me as I approached Ancient Spire Outpost while solo on a sloop. He circled my sloop twice then swam off.

We've had several encounters with that one recently It's a fun shark. :-)
@crimsonraziel Please tell me that was a jumping Meg and not a flying through the air Meg?? We don't need superpowered sharks in the game! XD

I've seen one since the update...it was an extremely aggressive one with apparently limitless health :-D I ran out of boards before it ran out of health. I ended up by executing a tactical withdrawal (yeah...I ran like crazy to the nearest island for more boards) but as I hit the island it disappeared back to the depths from which the vile beastie spawned. Have not seen one since...go figure. It's all a roll of the dice I guess.

@fantome-of-blue and for anyone else curious, I was east of Ancient spire outpost, on my way back from Kraken's fall, but I wasn't paying attention so I went a little off course lol. Anyway, after I realised I was going by it, I started turning towards the outpost when I saw a VERY large fin in front of me in the distance. Wasn't sure what to think at first so I carried on. It then began to circle me and I couldn't risk losing all the stuff I had, so I went straight for the outpost and it backed off once I reached shallow water. After selling everything I was curious to see if it would still be there, so I went back towards where I saw it and there it was, circling me again. I dropped anchor and watched it for a while, thinking maybe this one wasn't aggressive. I was wrong. I went to set off after not seeing it for a little while and BANG, straight into the back of my boat. After fighting it for a little while it started to retreat, I was having none of that. Chased it down and eventually finished it off after going through many planks and MANY cannon balls.
@fantome-of-blue Surprisingly, I was just attacked again. I was alone with a lot of loot again, one started to circle me for a while, eventually it went to attack, I shot it once with a pistol and it back off and I didn't see it for a while after that. It then appeared some time later but this time meant business and I had to take it down, barely making it. Have you found any yet?
