I have had to cancel two missions now due to the Islands in the game not matching the geography in the maps. The maps show parts of islands that dont exist and make it next to impossible to find chests.
Its bad enough that skeletons dont spawn half the time, but the gold horders maps are now broken to... GG Rare.

Do you remember which islands maps didn't match the actual islands and their features? If you do it would be worth submitting a support ticket using the link below so someone can take a look and see what issues you found.

I once found that the map I had for Cannon Cove didn't match up to the actual Cannon Cove very well. I spent about 15 minutes trying to find some gold.
Then I realised the map was actually for Crooks Hollow and I was on completely the wrong island. Easy mistake to make (for idiots) as they've both got a jetty on their west side.
@oni2anza only island I had a problem with was crooked masts. 4 treasures found 3 easily the 4th which was insight of one I had found had my crew digging back and forth across the north end of the island until we had dug over every inch without finding the chest.
